Have a son and daughter (9,10)

My kids are 7 and 10. Boy and girl. They both always have to go to Chef Mickey. Food decent, buffet style. Also, 1900 park fare at the grand floridan are good. Has cinderella and prince charming (if still there), but it's the best food buffet in our opinion. Liberty Tree is my DH's favorite. Family style with characters in early american times. This is in Magic Kingdom. Hope these help.:)

My dd8 has chosen the following must do ressies for our April trip:

Crystal Palace (a tradition for every trip & yummy food)
Ohana's Breakfast with Lilo & Stich (fun & yummy)
Chef Mickeys (lots of characters and good breakfast)
1900 Park Fare (fun & good food)
Liberty Tree Tavern (no characters)
50's Prime Time (no characters...but threw straws at dd...she:love: it!!!)
Cinderellas Castle (who doesn't  eating in a castle?!?!?)
Donalds Safari Breakfast (fun & good food)

She has been to & liked:

SciFi (eating in a car watching kinda awful movie trailers appeals to them)
Coral Reef Restaurant (fish tank = huge draw)
Princess Storybook dinner (akershus in Germany)
Narcoosees (7:30pm dinner & you can see the Electric Water Pagent)
Citricos (loved the seafood dishes)

New ones we are trying:

Chefs de France
Marrakesh
Tutto Italia Ristorante

One she didn't like:

Le Cellier...too dark?!?!?:confused3:confused3:confused3

DS now 11 and DD 8

They love Ohana's Breakfast, Crystal Palace Breakfast and CRT any meal. They're absolute joint favourite thing we ever did at WDW is Hoop de doo. Coming a close second is Boma. Amazing that they both agree and on something that isn't a character meal.

Both loved dinner at kouzzina's.

DD loves Akershus and DS likes the food but not the overall experience.

Biergarten was fine but no more. We hated 1900 PF.

DS likes the Contemporary for a meal with the monorail overhead (but happy with CS at Contempo) and both like the CS at Gasparillas at GF to sit outside and look at the MK.

We have only ever had a bad meal four times at WDW though and all four were at 1900 PF. The entertainment/characters is great but the food has been dreadful every time we have been.

My kids are 9, 11 and 12. They've been going since they were 2, 4 and 5.
Here are their favorites:

Sci-Fi
Chef Mickey's
Coral Reef
Liberty Tree Tavern
Ohana (breakfast and dinner)
Cape May Buffet breakfast
Tutto Italia
Crystal Palace breakfast
50's Prime Time Cafe

You can't go wrong with any of these!

I have 2 same age
They liked Biergarten for entertainment and DD likes the food.

Trex is there absolute fav.

1900 Park Fare my DD loves and my son didn't want to do it again but when he got there and the stepsitsters loved his sunglasses he seemed to be enjoying the attention.

Cape May Clambake breakfast and dinner. They love the fact u can draw on the paperlined tables.

Crystal Palace breakfast

They want to try this year
50's Prime Time
LTT
Garden Grill
Tutto Italy

'Ohana for dinner is wonderful! They have different activities for kids and the food is delicious! It has a very disney feel to it (the castle is right outside your window!) Food is served family-style. If you time it right, you can watch wishes while you dine! :thumbsup2

Good luck deciding!

Well, I'm 16, but I took my first trip at 12, and I'm such a little kid inside anyways.

My picks:

-Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. This is one of my favourite restaraunts. It's a character meal with Pooh and friends, and it is so much fun. The food is good and the characters are so much fun.

-Ohana at the Polynesian. We went for breakfast with Lilo and Stitch, plus Mickey and Pluto, and it was so much fun! A gorgeous restaraunt, great food, and a ton of fun. :)

-Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. Another favourite, so much fun. :)

-Akershus in Epcot. It is a princess meal, so your daughter will love it, but I think your son would have a nice time too. The place is BEAUTIFUL, and the food is good, we did breakfast. It's a great alternative to Cinderella's Royal Table, where we've never been able to get into.

-Garden Grill in Epcot. This was my mom's FAVOURITE restaraunt, next to Crystal Palace. I love it too. It's relatively private if you have a booth, and the characters are super interactive. It's quiet and you get views of Living with the Land, which is cool. And again, good food. A little different from normal character meal food, but great.

I hope you guys enjoy your trip!:wizard:

My DD 9 LOVES Coral Reef. She has requested to eat there again on our next trip. Also, she likes 50's Prime Time too. She also had a great time at Ohana character breakfast and their breakfast is delicious!!! Oh and she likes LeCellier and Yachtsman Steakhouse too!

My 8 year old DS requested Coral Reef, Teppan Edo, Sci-Fi Diner, and Biergarten.

DD (6) wants to return to Chef Mickey, 'Ohana, Sci-Fi, and Coral Reef.

My kids have been going every year for the last 5 years and all four of my kids, 13, 11, 8, & 8 love the following:

Boma(even very picky eaters can find something here!)
Sci-Fi Dine In Theater
Prime Time Cafe
Teppen Edo
The Plaza
Ohana's

and will be 9 and 10 when we go back in December.

We did DXDDP and ate a ton of food, but there were only a handful of places they want to go back to this time around.

1. Kona Cafe (every meal here was great)
2. Artist Point (kids menu actually had decent offerings instead of nuggets and fries)
3. WWC (loved the all you can eat breakfast skillet)
4. BD (loved the food)

Places they want to avoid at all costs:
1. Coral Reef (loud crying babies and mediocre food)
2. 50s Prime Time (mac and cheese sucked, and hot dog, too)

I like T Rex but do not go there for dinner, go for lunch. We have had good experiences with lunches but dinner is a zoo and the service was horrible.

My kids liked Teppan Edo the most. Don't forget to look for the candy lady in the Japan area and visit the fun store.

They also love the fish and chips CS in England, Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD, Plaza Restaurant in MK and 50's PT, although they were a little scared of our waiter and they are teens. They liked Sunshine Seasons too for CS.

For characters, we do Cape May Cafe for breakfast and/or Garden Grill. Chef Mickey's is too loud and the food is meh. We also really like CMC for dinner but there are no characters then.

Next time I would like to do Citricos and Kona Cafe.

My two boys (now 10 and 6) have always enjoyed going to Whispering Canyon Cafe.

My two boys (now 10 and 6) have always enjoyed going to Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Great choice! My son loved it, and we enjoyed it also. Haven't gone since the time we stayed at WL though .
