I know what you mean - my Zafira actually lifted off the ground this morning, took me an hour to get to work due to all the fallen trees etc - it normally take 25-30 minutes.

Just taken better half to the station for a trip to london. unfortunately the trains are all late and those that are on have speed restriction of 50mph. Diane says she wont get into euston until 1430hrs and i dropped her off at 0800hrs. hope the rest of her trip goes better

I've had to start taking youngest son to school in a taxi (county funded taxi has stopped taking him to his special needs unit, so have to walk on a good day, pay for a taxi on a bad day) it was late by 20 minutes turning up this morning and had to leave other son in bed with aches and pains (genuine, its been through the family) trouble is he's supposed to be sitting mock exams today and tomorrow (double ) I've got to go to Ashley's school at dinner time for parents meal (picked a good day for going out haven't I!) so yes I'm a bit fed up too.

OMG it is so windy down here, the fences are rocking around, 3 posts need fixing! I'm going to the hairdressers in a little while don't think I'll bother with the blowdry.

Its starting to pick up here now (although its been windy all morning) and my kids were very worried this morning that the roof would come off their school I reassured them they were perfectly safe at school, but yes things are starting to bang around here. be safe,

I am concerned about my DH hes is just setting off driving from Sunderland to Baisingstoke. Dont know how long it will take him !!!

I am sitting and as Im looking out of the window our motorhome (23ft) is rocking like mad

Its blowing a gale here in sunny yorkshire too. In fact we did have a gazzebo tied down round the side of our house and that's gone....it's now upside down wrapped around our fence!! I have had a wonderful morning chasing milk bottles, the rain collecting tub, watering cans and uprighting the bins. In 2 hours I have to venture out to pick the kids up from school, which I am NOT looking forward to. I can cope with most of our varied weather but wind really freaks me out.

Horrible day here as well ~ I had a meeting this morning. Got up nice and early, showered and straightened my hair. By the time I got to the meeting I had to put my hair up it was such a mess

Big black bin, big green bin and small bottle/can bin have just flown past the back window straight to the bottom of the garden. only thing stopping them from colliding with the guy accross the way are the trees its not died down round here

It's horrible around here, 3 fence panels are doen so far, Nearly a 4th.. Just waiting for neighbours dog to come jumping over into out garden. Winds have not died down here yet

Pretty bad here too! We have solar powered blinds on the outside of our building - the wind is making them blow round and round constantly! Quite amusing! - You can see i have loads to do at work!
