Have 527 Days Until Our Vacation, But I Need Some Disney Magic Now!*22 DAYS TO GO!!!!

I love the intro Corrine! You have a beautiful family... I and I love the picture of all of you together at MNSSHP (my all time fav event)... Your dd is just precious - and I sat and stared at that picture of her with Belle for a few minutes, because it it just sweet.

WTG starting to hoard $$ for your trip!! Before you know it, there will be $100 there and then $1k... You'll have it paid off in no time! :)

Thanks D, I think they are kind of cute myself. I loved MNSSHP and it was my first experiance ever at Magic Kingdom so it has even a more special place in my heart. I just love that picture. There was no line when we got there and Belle spent a lot of time with us.

You know D, if you want to send some reader my way, it seems to be going kind of slow over here. :rotfl:

I have two new updates.
1) I finished my Big Give today so I am hoping to start working on a new dress that I have in mind.:goodvibes Going to use some great Winnie the Pooh fabric I found on clerance.
2) My mother's room mate gave me $20 for Christmas. So after using $5 to buy some dinner after helping my mom with Netflix, I put $15 into my disney fund. Now I have $35 in my Disney fund. Your right D, it does add up fast. :rotfl2: I am putting the money in the drawer of my jewelry box for now, but I need to get something nice to store it in.:thumbsup2

So I have some intresting news to share that has nothing to do with WDW. (I know, I know, but not everything is centered around Disney. As much as I try.:lmao:)

I was on a PTR of a family who is going on a Wish Trip (got to love those wish families:lovestruc). She was telling about a great organization that have a group of photographers take pictures of children with chronic diseases for free. I was so excited that I headed over to the site pronto and I signed up Liam. (He was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when he was 6, but more about that when I do my mini TR.) This morning I checked my email and we were approved.:yay::dance3: I found a photographer that looks good and sent her an email. It might be some time before I hear back, but I am so excited.:woohoo:

Here is the link to the website if you want to learn more about this great organization. http://www.inspirationthroughart.org/

Plus I also have a little bit of Disney news, though nothing concrete. I was talking to a good friend of mine about possibly going to Disney with me in the spring for a long weekend. Nothing is planned, we are just in the talking stages, but wish me luck.:thumbsup2

Goodness I have you all talking here don't I. I guess I will give you a little bit about my plans for a possible spring trip.

First of all as I said earlier it is just a possible trip. There are a lot of things that need to fall in place if we go. First and formost if my friend can't go than I can't. There is no way I can afford a trip on my own.

Now with that disclaimer out of the way, let me tell you a few ideas for the trip. The person I asked to go with me on the trip has been a friend of mine for 10 years now and we have gone through alot together. If you notice that I haven't said she or her, it is because my friend is a boy (he is over 40 so I guess he is a guy.) Yes I am one of those girls who's best friend is a guy. :rotfl2:

I had been thinking of doing a trip somewhere just me in the spring but it wasn't until I so the Dismeet plans for D and Lidian did I start thinking of WDW. So the idea, as of right now, is to head down there in the morning of March 8, get there before lunch so I can meet the girl in Epcot, and go home on March 11. See I said LOOONNNGGG weekend D.

The idea is to stay at Pop, but the two specials going right now do not have any opening for values (except family suite in Movies) so we are able to get in for one of the specials we might do a moderate (if we can afford it.)

I am really hoping it all comes together because I really want to go. The good thing is that my friend comes from money so he might be able to spot me the money to go and I can pay him back later. I am tring not to get to excited, but I am already thinking of what park to go to.:yay:

On my way to add another installment to my May TR, so come on over if you want to read it.:)

Phew... You had me worried for a minute there... I was so excited, then I saw 'weekend'... and I was like, 'uh-oh I am only there for one weekend' - it's probably not my weekend that Corrine's planning to go... But - what a relief, I might get to meet you!

Corrine, have you looked at staying off-site if finances get in the way of staying on-site? If you stay off-site, just keep in mind the hotel's taxes, resort fees, and paying for parking at the WDW parks! But if you're splitting costs, you can share the parking costs and stuff. And some of the area hotels have decent shuttles. Most of the meals are big enough to share! So it may be good to bypass the DDP and just share a meal somewhere! I'm trying to cut costs for you everywhere to get you there. :rotfl2:

My fingers are crossed you can come down on the 8th! (Just don't tell TK! :lmao:) Keep us posted on what happens! :yay:

I have thought about it, but I would definatly have to look for one that has a shuttle service unless my friend wants to shell out for a rental car. I am glad you are on my side. I emailed my friend some information last night so I am just waiting to find out what he thinks. If I don't hear from him by tomarrow night I will call him on Monday. Since the trip I am hoping to make is only two months away, we need to figure out what we are doing.:thumbsup2

Don't worry I won't tell TK. So unless she decides to come back here and check up on us, she will not know a thing. :lmao:

I just wish TK could come along, too! Then it would really be a party! :goodvibes

You may want to consider the DTD hotels. I hear they run shuttles pretty frequently ... but they share with other area hotels. It still beats paying for a rental and parking ... and don't forget to check for other WDW resort discounts as well! I know they have a % off room, but there's also AAA (which isn't much, but better than rack), and if you're going for a moderate price hotel, then it may be just as effective to do one of the DTD ones.

I priced out several area ones, but not sure how good their shuttle service is ... and they ran from $54-157 per night for March 3rd (Saturday), with the distances ranging no more than 3 miles from the WDW gate to the DTD hotels. Pricing could be higher for the weekend you'll be staying ... but there's a good range of prices (and that includes taxes and resort fees, but not WDW parking fees). So a $50/night hotel and a car with parking fees may end up close to the same price as a night at a Value. You'll just have to do the math. :goodvibes (Or if you get stumped, you can ask your Accountant friend to help with the math. :thumbsup2)

And if you need any help, just hollar! We'll be happy to help you look and help with reading reviews and offering suggestions! Best of luck!!!! :goodvibes

I'm joining in. After our last trip in Oct. I knew it would be awhile before we would be back. Once it became 2012 last week our future trips don't seem so far away. I just put up our tickers that are 2 years away and already know where we will be staying and hopeful ADRs.

DD and I will also be doing a mother/daughter trip when our trip is finally here. Pop sounds like a good choice as does the new Animation place. I would love to stay at the GF since I know DH will never seat foot there but it is so expensive, even if it was 40% off. We will be going in Dec. so we will most likely rent points to stay in a studio at Boardwalk.

Your bag came out great!
