Have 527 Days Until Our Vacation, But I Need Some Disney Magic Now!*22 DAYS TO GO!!!!

Ok, so I know it's been almost a week since I have updated this, but it has been completly crazy around here. So let me recap what has been going on.

Friday May 25th- That was Liam's birthday but since he had school we decided to have a friend over for dinner. Well that one friend ended up turning into the friend, his sister, and the boy across the street. Everybody had fun though and than we ended it up going to the school for a dance at the school where the boys got to shake their booties. :yay:

Saturday May 26th- Took Liam to Six Flags Great America for the opening of the water park. We spent some time there but it ws pretty chilly so we decided to leave the park and see a movie at the Mall. We say Me in Black 3 in which we both thought was very good.

Sunday May 27th- After such a chilly day we now have a very hot day and decided to go to the water park to cool off. It was so crowded that it was crazy. It took almost an hour and forty five minutes to get some food. By the time I go the food I was starting to feel sick to my stomach and the beginning stages of a hear realated illness. Luckily I knew what to do and I was fine, but Aidan (my 4 year old) wandered off we left the WP and spent some time in the rest of the park.

Monday May 28th- My son was in the Memorial Day parade in which I walked with him. We than packed up the car and headed to my dad's house in Wisconsin for a cook out with some friends and family. Had a great time, my diet went out the window.:goodvibes

Tuesday May 29th- Both Liam and Mia had a appointment with the lung doctor today for check ups. Bothare doing well so we celebrated by going back to Six Flags again.:lmao: The kids had alot of fun though I think I was a little over it for a bit.:sick:

Wednesday May 30th- I must admite that I didn't do much today besides meet some friends with their kids at McDonalds for dinner, but for some reason the internet was down so I was unable to get on here to make any updates.:confused3

So that was my week, pretty busy huh? But good news from Monday. I lost another 2 bls which will make it 9 lbs total. Things have been kind of crazy the last couple of days though so I am a little worried about weigh in day on Monday.:confused:

Plus as I have stated earlier in this PTR, a friend and her DD might be going with and my son and his father might also go. I think my mind is going to explode trying to plan everything. My friend is now thinking of also bringing her older DD so I am trying to price the diffrence between three seperate value rooms, a suite, and a room at POR with a trundle (Liam's dad wants to stay in his own room with Liam).

I think I might try to have everyone go to the same parks on the same days but we can go where we want from there. I might even try to do a couple of meals together, but honestly it will be easier to figure out meals on our own.

My brain hurts.:eek:

My you HAVE been busy!! No theme parks for us, but we did go out of town for the weekend, so therefore I did not diet OR Dis while I was away. :rotfl2:

My head hurts just reading about all the possible add ons to your trip. :eek: I just hope you and Mia are still able to have some good Mommy/daughter time! :cloud9:

Unfortunately for me, my trip planning could be almost as complicated if DH gets his way...he wants both sets of grandparents to join us in 2013. :sad2: My folks will be low maintenance as they have a time share in Orlando, and will only do a day or two in the parks...DH's parents however~they will be a whole other issue. FIL has had two hip replacements and still limps around in pain, MIL is VERY controling and wants to be all up in our business and hovering/ disciplining our children even when we are there to take care of them. She is bi-polar so even though she takes her meds, she can sometimes be a buggar...shall I go on? Nope~done. Geez, how did I go on such a rant? Sorry! :guilty:

Anyhow, I just hope Mia still feels special even when all the extra folks who want to go. I am sure you will do everything in your power to see that that happens! :wizard:

Oh WOW!!! My brain hurts just trying to read that - I can't imagine how you must feel! Yikes!

And that sounds like some crazy trip planning you got going on there! I can't wait to see how that all turns out...

D~

I know what you mean, I have thought little about my diet this week. I just hope that me staying away from fast food and getting back to things today will give me some positive results on the scale on Monday. At this point I don't even care as long as I don't gain anything. :-)

My head hurts just reading about all the possible add ons to your trip. :eek: I just hope you and Mia are still able to have some good Mommy/daughter time! :cloud9:

I know we will find some time on our own, because I am going to make it happen.:rotfl2: This was originally a trip for just my DD and me so I am going to keep that in mind when I continue planning this trip.

Goodness, and I thought my trip was getting complicated. At least with me I have already told everyone that we don't need to spend every minute together. Please convince you FIL to rent a EVC. All the walking he would have to do at WDW will definatly be painful for him.

I know being with an overly controlling person on your trip can be very upsetting. Especially if they are trying to handle things diffrently than you or ignoring all of your experiance you have learned on here and actuall trips to the World. I hope it all works out for you.:hug:

Anyhow, I just hope Mia still feels special even when all the extra folks who want to go. I am sure you will do everything in your power to see that that happens! :wizard:

Thanks girl, I will definatly do my best. It was so much easier when my friend was only thinking about taking her youngest DD since they are close to the same age, but I am worried now that she is thinking of taking her older DD. But I have no problem taking Mia and heading off on our own.:goodvibes

Oh WOW!!! My brain hurts just trying to read that - I can't imagine how you must feel! Yikes!

D~

Yep, I have definatly used my share of advil in the last week.:lmao:

I did my reserch to get an idea of what things would cost and the diffrences in prices. Of course this does not include raising prices that are bound to happen and discounts that I am hoping to get. So far my friend and I getting seperate Value rooms will be cheaper than going with a Suite. While going with a room with a trundle at POR will be cheaper than that. But than I would have to be in a diffrent resort than Liam and his Dad. There is still some time before the MYW packages are available so hopefully she makes a decision before than. And of course I can't talk about it with her now because her family went to Michagan.

Everybody seems to be in the mind set that we still have a year to go, but as we all know that time can go quick and if you wait to long the resorts you want to say at can all be booked up. If worst comes to worst I will go ahead and make the best decision for me and my children.:thumbsup2

So I was doing one of my favorite things today. Planning for my next WDW vacation. I was so happy that Touring plans have my date available for crowd tracking so I can start making some decisions on where to go on what days. Of course I know that these numbers are bound to change so I have them down for notifing me if they do change.:thumbsup2

So right now I am planning on going on our trip on Sunday May 26-Saturday June 1st. There is a small possibility that I might extend our stay for a day but I do not think that Liam's dad could afford another day. So if I do spend another day there I would add tickets to the original package and do a room only reservation.

So here we go. . .

I know you guys are excited. . .

So with out further delays. . .

(Do you all just hate me now?:rotfl2:). . .

Of course this is just a priliminary idea of what the plans are. Things are still subject to change.:thumbsup2

Corrine, I think you planned my vacation. :lmao::rotfl2: You just got the dates wrong. :thumbsup2 Honestly, it looks a lot like mine, ADR-wise that is. I haven't decided on what days to do what. We have picked our dates, and we have a backup week. Sadly, we won't be there at the same time. :sad: Even if we have to resort to one of our "backup plans". The week that you'll be there, we just can't make it work for us. :guilty:

I am anxious to hear what you decide to book, resort-wise though. Packages should be available to book tomorrow (Sunday) ... so doing up a spreadsheet to decide what would be our best "cross-our-fingers-for-THIS-discount" would be. :lmao::rotfl2:

Anyway, hope all is well with you! :hug:

I guess great minds think alike.

I know I wish we were going at the same time too, but I really don't think taking my DD out of school for a week is good idea at this time. She is having some problems with her reading and is going to summer school in hope that she will not fall farther behind.:confused3

Did you just say packages might be available tomorrow????:banana:

I can't wait to wake up tomorrow to see. Is that why there is buzz going on around here about ticket prices going up tomorrow?

Just hopping that there is a good special for both of our dates. Lets make a pact to notify the other when we see a special for that time so we will be sure to both get it. (I am really hoping for FD!!!)

Oh and one thing before I go. I have actually been meaning to do this since last Saturday.

We are officially under the year mark before we are back in the World.

:banana::dance3::cheer2::woohoo:
:jumping1::rainbow:
:maleficen:simba::stitch::donald::dumbo:
:sulley::tigger::figment::goofy::hmghost:

:dancer::dancer:

and of course I need to bring this for Liddy!!

:rockband:
Don't you just love a Disney Smiley Dancy Party
.

I will definitely be on the lookout for discounts for both of our time frames! If I see one, I'll text you (and vice versa). Also, don't forget to check your mail and email for PIN codes!

From what I understand, after they release the new ticket prices tomorrow, packages can be booked. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will chime in and offer the proper information! I've heard two stories on resort rates ... I've heard they didn't change for 2013, and I've heard they went up about $4/day. So anxious to hear if either of those stories are correct! :goodvibes

And yes, huzzah for being under the one-year mark!!! :banana::banana::banana:

So glad the band is there! :woohoo:

P.S. If your DD is struggling in a subject, it is MUCH better to keep her in school so she doesn't miss anything! That one week could be critical if she's having any issues! We have a backup week in case we can't pull our kids from school, too. DD has been struggling with Math, but her report card doesn't reflect issues, nor does the teacher comments from her Math teacher (just her "main teacher" -- since they break up into Math groups with different teachers). So as of right now, hoping she stays on her path, but if she struggles at all, we'll reschedule to summer or get a tutor or whatever we need to do to make sure she's academically successful!

Thanks Liddy. I did go on the website this morning to see if the packages were available (my credit card close in hand so I book :lmao:) and unfortunalty the site still says that they are only booking up to and on December 31, 2012.

Come on Disney, I need to start cementing some of my Plans.:scared1:

Oh well, I guess we will just have to wait. When I book my trip in March someone I talked to said they usually are not available until August and someone I just talked to via internet said Mid to late summer. I know I am going to Disney next year, but there is something about putting money down on a package that make it real. :cloud9:

Last year the offers for the next year came early. Every year before that the offer has come out in August. I guess we just have to cross our fingers (I really don't have to since the offer for EU came out some time ago and I have already booked our trip for February 2013 :cheer2: ) that it will come out early this year as well.

Followed you back here from my PTR. Haven't had time to read everything yet, Maybe tonight after the munchkins are in bed.

I read somewhere that packages can be booked by calling, but won't be available online until later this month. Not sure how accurate it is, and I honestly don't recall where I read it. :confused3

I seem to remember that I couldn't book my March trip until Aug last year - online that is. And I like booking online. :)

Corri - your plans look awesome!

D~

Then maybe bookings will open in August. I'm just ready to book. Not sure why WDW won't take my money? :lmao::rotfl2:

I haven't read through all of the posts yet but I'm looking forward to watching your wonderful girlie trip unfold. :cheer2::cheer2:

Took me all evening due to interruptions from the kids but I'm all caught up.
I'm so sorry to hear about your brother :hug:

Reading about your plans makes me want to stay on site and take advantage of the dining plan but our family is too big for us to afford that so offsite it is. Hmm maybe next year I can convince my DH to take an adults only trip and we can stay onsite :scratchin

Thanks Terkina. So I guess I will plan on them coming out in August but keep trying everyday in case something changes. Wish me luck.:lmao:

Glad to have you here m2zjj. Hope you and the kiddos had a great night.:thumbsup2

Hmmm, that might just need to be checked out. When I talked to someone online via the Disney Website a couple of weeks ago they told me I could do a room only reservation up to 399 days before your trip but you had to call. Anyway it happens, me and my money are ready for it.:lmao:

Thanks D. I also like booking on line. It gives me a sense of control, and I like to have control when planning my trip. I know what I want and don't like people trying to sell me up (not sure if disney would do this).

Then maybe bookings will open in August. I'm just ready to book. Not sure why WDW won't take my money? :lmao::rotfl2:

I know, right! Come on Disney. I got the money all ready for you, come on and take it already.:headache:

Thanks m2zjj. I definatly would recommend staying on site at least once and doing the DDP. There are so many benifits to staying on site. The Magical Express, Extra Magic Hours, and trasportation to the parks are just a few of them. Having 4 kids myself I know that bringing that many people to the parks is quite a chunk of change (which is why I am bringing one at a time).

Good luck conviencing your DH on that adults only trip. It sounds like a lot of fun.:thumbsup2

So I know this isn'officially disney related, but one of the reasons's I am doing it is for my next Disney Trip. So here it is. . .

I have lost (released. . .don't want to find it again:lmao:))another pound which brings the total to 10 pounds. Honestly I thought I would have lost more in a month, but I am happy with the results and hope to keep it up. As long as I keep up I will be one smoking mom the next time I grace Main Street.:lmao:

That's great Corrine! A loss is a loss no matter how small and it all adds up over time.
