Have 527 Days Until Our Vacation, But I Need Some Disney Magic Now!*22 DAYS TO GO!!!!

That's great Corrine! A loss is a loss no matter how small and it all adds up over time.

Thanks, I am definatly pleased with my progress. It's just that last time I tried to loose weight I had lost a couple more pounds at this point. But than I really didn't last much past 2 months last time so I will take this as a good sign.:thumbsup2

RELEASED! That is friggin brilliant! I want to use that! Way to go, Corri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao::rotfl2: I wish I could take the credit for it, but I admite that I stole it from a friend when I posted that I had recently lost some weight. She came back and told me that I released it because I didn't want to find it again. And like you I loved it so I stole it. So feel free to steal away girl, though I am always willing to share with my friends.:lmao::rotfl2:

So I know this isn'officially disney related, but one of the reasons's I am doing it is for my next Disney Trip. So here it is. . .

I have lost (released. . .don't want to find it again:lmao:))another pound which brings the total to 10 pounds. Honestly I thought I would have lost more in a month, but I am happy with the results and hope to keep it up. As long as I keep up I will be one smoking mom the next time I grace Main Street.:lmao:

Congrats on the loss. A loss is a loss. Great job.

Congratulations on the RELEASE of your weight!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: :banana::banana:

Thanks girls. I am very excited to have RELEASED the weight and hope to release more in the near future.:goodvibes

So a couple of days I mentioned some plates I bought for upcoming Disney fun nights (that I hope to start this week or next) and finally I found the time to take a pic so I can share it all with you, my Disney friends.

disneyplates.jpg

Aren't they great!! I saw them a couple of months ago but they were so expensive that I could not think of spending that much money. But they other day I was looking at special on the Disney Store Website and they were on sale. So I ran to the DO by my house and sure enough they were on sale so I snatched them up. I might have to go back and get the matching cups. We will have to see.:goodvibes

Well that's it for now, I will catch you all later! Heading to McDonalds to spend some time with some girl friends (one is heading on a Disney Cruise on Thursday. Hate her!:lmao:) Than I need to sit down and figure out a list for my Disney Movie Fun Nights. Have to see if I can pull one together for this week. :thumbsup2

Cute plates! And I can't wait to read about your Disney fun nights...it's pretty much an obsession for me now! :rotfl2:

Those plates look great.

I love, love, love those plates.

Aren't they cute. There was plates last year but they were only solid colors and I wanted them but they never seemed to go on sale. So when I saw these go on sale I just had to grab them up. I would have been upset if I didn't. Did I need the silverwear. . no, but I just couldn't resist them.;)

When I did the Disney nights in 2009 I was so into them but it seemed as if the kids were bored with it pretty quickly. But than they were 7, 4, and 2. I am hoping that the 10 year old and almost 7 year old will get into it more and get the almost 5 year old excited. Oh who cares, as long as I am excited.:lmao:

I must admite that I been thinking about doing these again for a couple of weeks, but seeing your posts has got me all excited again.:woohoo:

So I wanted to tell you all about an obsession.

I know what you are thinking,

Don't we already know about her obsession? It's Disney like the rest of us.

Well yes it's true. But I have a new obsession, but it's one that is fueled by my Disney obsession.

I have become obsessed with finding change at Six Flags Great America. Yea, that's right. As soon as I walk into the parks my eyes are on the look out for any change that might be laying around. I than pocket that change and it ends up going to the Disney Fund. Every cent counts right? (Please say yes so that I don't feel completly crazy.:scared1::lmao:)

So before you click off my page, cancel your subscription, and count me out for a total nutball I have been able to bank a couple of bucks toward the trip. I only know what was found today and on Sunday, but we found 51 cents on Sunday and 71 cents today. That's right I am a $1.22 closer to the trip.:woohoo:

OK, maybe I am a little crazy.:rolleyes1

So I have been going through my movie list to see what I actually own in the Disney department. I am a big lover of Disney Movies, so I already own quite a few movies plus since I inherited my brother's movie collection my movie collection has incresed to 666 movies (no I am not making that number up :lmao:) I know some of my movies are missing, so I really need to hunt around the kids rooms to see if they "barrowed" them with out asking.

As of right now I own 28 Disney movies. Here are the movies listed below:

1. Alice in Wonderland (with Johnny Depp)
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. A Bug's Life
4. Cars 2 (I know I have the first one some where)
5. Cinderella
6. Cinderella III
7. The Country Bears
8. Enchanted
9. Finding Nemo
10. Hannah Montana The Movie
11. The Haunted Mansion
12. High School Musical Senior Year
13. Hercules
14. The Lion King
15. Mulan II
16. The Muppets take Manhattan
17. The Muppets
18. Newsies
19-22. Pirate of the Caribean 1-4
23. Sleeping Beauty
24. Tangled
25. Tarzan
26. Tarzan II
27. Tron Legacy
28. The Princess Diaries

Well that is it for know folks. I need to pick on that everyone likes so we can do the first Disney Movie Fun Night on Monday. I also need to make a list of what movies we will be doing each week so I can start planning on what to do on those nights and figure out how to how to supplement the movies that I do not already own. :goodvibes

sounds like you are having some fun times getting ready for your trip. Movie nights sound like a good way to get into the magic at home.

Congrats on your ten pound release! That's a great start and I am so happy for you!:love::yay::yay:

I love planning out my Disney Movie Fun Nights. But sometimes I wonder if I am doing it for me or the kids. Well of course it's for the kids.:rolleyes1:lmao:

Thanks. I am hoping to add a pound or two to that number the day after tomorrow. It's a diffrent scale though (last one died) and I don't think they are at the same weight. So we will have to see.:thumbsup2

So I wanted to mention two small updates to the trip today.

First of all I have decided what will be our first DMFN which will be tomorrow night. So with out any more delay, the first movie to be shown will be. . .

The Lion King

You want to know more about our exciting Disney Movie Fun Night, well I guess you will just have tune back in and see.:thumbsup2

Alright for the second bit of information had to do with the money that we have been finding at Six Flags Great America. Since no one commented about my money finding ways at GA I can only assume that everyone ran for the hills in the attempt to get as far away from the crazy girl as they could.:lmao::rotfl2:

So I have decided to keep a running tally of how much money I have found so I can feel better about my money searching ways.:lmao: It does help that I have gotten the kids with me to help. :goodvibes So yesterday we went back to the parks and found 73 cents. So with the $1.22 total from before the new total is. . .drumroll please. . . $1.95.:hippie:

Glad to hear you're finding spare change anywhere you can! :thumbsup2 It may be a bit silly ... but hey, it does add up, and it's a few dollars that you don't have to come up with in the end! :goodvibes

I totally want to do Movie Nights with my niece. However, not sure if I can or not. I really want to make sure she's familiar with the characters before our trip, so I just want to focus on the characters she's MOST likely to encounter. :thumbsup2

Anxious to hear more! :goodvibes

I haven't run for the hills to escape the crazy lady! I happen to like the crazy lady... :lmao: My week has been INSANE! We are trying to wrap up the new academic catalog at work and I am becoming the crazy lady myself! :sad2:

Can't wait to see how your first Movie Night went. Lion King is on my list to do too. Can't wait to get ideas from you... popcorn::

geez its been so long since ive been here...

me and my sister arent going to disney this year anymore.. work issues.. though i am going to Universal Studios this year with a friend from work, with a teaser of one day at Hollywood Studios, for mine and Dee's(friend from work) trip next year. We will be going to disney for 2 weeks next year...

how is everyone else's planning going?

I am so glad I didn't scare everyone away. I was getting a little worried. :lmao::lmao: I know it's a little silly to be hunting down pennies at a theme park but it is sure nice to see those numbers go up and up, even if it is creaping slowly.

I hope you are able to do a couple of Movie Nights with your niece. Maybe a couple of Disney Marathons if you are only to do a couple of days with her. I am so excited for you bringing a Disney Newbie to the park. Oh to see Disney through the eyes of innocents. But than again Mia was there when she was 4 years old so I am sure it will almost be like new to her. I can't wait for both of us.:banana:

You like me, you really do.:lmao: I know what you mean, my week been crazy as well. Which is the reason I have posted my movie night yet. But I will. . .very soon.:thumbsup2

I am so sorry you are unable to make you trip to Disney this year. But how exciting to be planning a trip to US and an extra long trip to Disney next year. I wish I could go on a two week trip to Disney but unfortunatly I don't think it's in the cards for any time soon. Welcome back, I can't wait to hear all about your upcoming trip.:goodvibes

So I know I haven't been on this week, but it has been a very busy week for me. Mia started summer school on Monday in which she is attending from Mon - Thurs in the morning. Than later that day I had to take Liam to get his eyes checked for his study drug. We than decied to go to the local mall for a couple hours. As you can see we didn't have time to do our DMFN on that night so we postposd it to the next day.
So we were able to do our Disney Movie Fun Night on Tuesday Night. It was also a special occasion because it was also Aidan's 5th birthday.

As you know we watched

The Lion King

So as soon as I mentioned what movie we were going to watch Liam was already coming up with things to do. First of all was Safari Hunt. They places stuffed animal around the room and took some binaculars to take view them as if on an actually safari. Next was Bug Find. Liam took some plastic bugs (and other small objects like crayons since we didn't have a lot of bugs) and hid it around the house. He than sent his brother and sister out to find them. They had alot of fun until they realized that one had more than the other so I declared it was just for fun.:) Last Liam decided to do a Dance party. Was it related to The Lion King? No. But my son will take any excuse to have a dance party.:lmao:

So first of all we had an apitizer of ants on logs. Well at least it is our version. My kids don't really care for celery so I smeared peanut butter on apple slices instead. They really enjoyed them and wanted more.

So for dinner I had planned on getting some animal shapped chicken nuggets at the store but just ran out of time. So I found some regular nuggets in the freezer and used them instead.:confused3 We than had broccoli that looks like small trees smothered in cheese. Last but not least I made somethng I have eaten at Boma. It's a combonation of Mashed potatoe and Sweet Potatoe. It was very good.:)

106.jpg

Than for dessert I made a buggy suprise. I made some choclate pudding, covered it with choclate animal crackers that I crushed, and than added some gummy worms on top for decorations. Yummm!!

Liam had so much time that he wanted to watch Cars 2 on the next night. I had to explain that I was going to try to do one every week but we could watch some of the movies from time to time. He could even do activities if he wanted to.

We ended up going to Great America on Thursday and Friday. (What can I say we like going to GA.) We didn't find as much change as before but found .32 cents on Thursday and .36 cents yesterday. That brings our total to. . .$2.63.

I also had a lucky week this week and found a dollar between the mattress and headboard, was given some money to buy something and only spent half of it, and found $20 while eating lunch with a girlfriend of mine. So that is another $26 dollars into my Disney found. I am getting real close to $700.

So next weeks movie (which is only in a couple of days) is Beauty and the Beast. Sorry no picture.

You haven't scared me away either. :) I've just been super busy.

Love reading about the movie night. sounds like it was lots of fun for all of you.
