Haunted Mansion

I don't think it's changed at all. Perception and memory are tricky things.

I remember riding HM as a child in the early 80's, has it changed since then? The ride it is today vs the ride I remember in the 80's, are NOT the same. Is it different? I sometimes wonder if I strung multiple rides togehter and created one super HM in my adolesent mind.

Yes, it changed in just the last few years. The Escher staircases replaced the spiders, for instance.

Yep, several changes, not including the new interactive queue: the Escher staircase, some of the portraits, new audio system in the stretching room, the attic scene with the bride, new hitchhiking ghosts. I think there have been a few other changes as well. There's a great HM website (it's something like Doombuggy.com) that has fabulous trivia about this ride.

thanks I'll look into that :thumbsup2

I have a theory. I think as we age things seem to move faster. By the time you're 80 you'll be yelling "slow this thing down, what is this space mountain!":rotfl2:

From my years of playing Roller Coaster Tycoon I can tell you that just shaving off a few seconds from the ride time can add a a lot of throughput.

But alas the ride breaks down more and you have to hire more mechanics.

Also if you speed up the belt too much you have to stop it more for mobility impaired guests which probably would negate any added capacity.

Love the Roller Coaster Tycoon reference, I haven't played that in ages!
