If you use FP+ for Haunted Mansion, do you miss out on the introduction/room stretching?

Thanks, mesaboy2. Is the interactive queue special enough to make sure 5 kids experience it? I figure it may have been enhanced since I was last there.....

Eh, it's cute. I would reverse your question and ask why would you burn one of 3 FP+ on HM when there are many other attractions where I think they're more useful.

I hear you. I am trying to figure out the best approach knowing that the rides that are typically the best use of FP+ are not the rides that are priorities for the people in my group. I am also planning without knowing how early we will manage to get to the parks.

I would encourage you to try the graveyard queue at least once if it works in your plans. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it--it'll be there next time.

this. HM is one of my favorites, but i don't spend FP+ on it. we did during our October trip just because the parks weren't crowded and we wanted to see it right before MNSSHP. DD said that the FP played the first few notes that play before the Ghost Host says "welcome, foolish mortals." but on our last trip, we didn't use any FP for it (and we didn't need FP either).

the graveyard queue is cute and definitely something worth seeing at least one time.

With FP+ at Haunted Mansion, would you still have to go through the turnstiles or do you bypass them? Thanks - :)

OP here. Thank you for the info and input....I switched the FP+ to a ride likely to have a longer line.

I wouldnt "waste" a FP entitlement on HM, either. That being said, The new fast pass line addition IS making the stand by line longer.

If you have more than 1 day at MK, I'd use a FP+ on HM, unless you're seeing characters.

I don't have kids and don't visit characters. I was there last week and HM consistently had the 4th longest wait time of the rides (behind Space, Big Thunder, and Peter Pan). It was up in the 30 minute range a lot of the time. That's not a huge wait time, but definitely FP+ worthy, IMO. Granted, Splash is closed right now, but HM would still be in the running if you have 2 days (and 6 FP+ entitlements to use).

Plus, the FP+ machine at HM makes a cool spooky sound. OK, maybe that's not a reason to use FP+ for this ride, but it's still cool...

If you have kids that want to see characters, HM probably isn't a good FP+ choice. The princess wait times get to be rather long!!

Oh, and to answer your original question, you do still go in the stretch room. The FP+ queue merges with the regular queue right before you get to the door to go into the stretch room.
