Haunted Luau - Invitation wording help....

DD would like a haunted luau for her Halloween birthday this year. We all have tons of great ideas and I am figuring I would probably make the invitations.....not quite sure how to word everything....maybe make it look like a luau, but add some blood streaks or something??


anyone crafty out there?

I think the idea sounds really cute!! Are you going to do a story line about it being haunted? If you are maybe the invite could start the story

That is really cool. The Gods could summon the guests to help solve a murder or something

That's a good idea, sort of like at the begining of ToT, where they give you the background history of the hotel.

Also OP, just and fyi-if you are interested-Party City has some of their laua stuff clearanced right now.

very cool - it will mostly be adults anyway...probably at the most 10 kids but close friends of the girls - will have an entire activity area for them set up as well as the pool if they want to swim.......we have tons of tiki torches....probably around 50 , they were 0.25 at Michaels one yr, bought them up....so this will be an in and outside by the pool party....I ordered skelamingos.....(instead of pink flamingos, skeleton ones!!)

Oriental Trading did have Haunted Luau cups, plates, etc, but they are all out of stock.

If you had a place that sells dry ice you could create some really cool effects.

actually Publix has dry ice...........will have to look up something to do with it though! our hot tub has a red cover which of course turns the water red....we could sink a skeleton or two into the pool.

Honestly, I don't know. I'm not a rider but DH and DD told me about it. You might be able to find it though, I believe it is actually based of a Twilight Zone (an old episode-the black and white episodes) so you might be able to find it online.

Have you tried Etsy.com? Even if you can't find haunted luau invitations, you could contact one of the sellers that's currently doing haunted house invitations.

Most of the time, if you give them an idea, they're really great about working with you and creating something (or at least that's been my experience when trying to get my fall lunch invitations done).

I googled/images "Beach at Night" and found this cool picture. You could use it for your invites. Maybe do your writing in a glowy alien green.
