Our elementary school has a haunted house in the gym every year and it is always a different theme. Last year it was the circus and the year before it was the old west. We ahve alos done alien spaceships and experiment labs and it has all been awesome. Our school makes about $2300 off of this and we want it to be worth it.
This year the theme is pirates. I can already see sword fights and a small drop off like you are walking the plank and skeletons chained to the wall and maybe a small crows nest. Playing pirate music outside will be key and maybe finding a tape of crashing waves or something inside. What can you envision ??
It needs to be something easy to make since this is all done with volunteers and things we have around. I would love to be able to figure out how to make a rolling deck to walk on, just something that wables a bit. Any other idea's would be great.
We do have giant black tarps that we hang from the beams to separate area's. you would never know that it is a gym when we are done.
