Haunted House Attractions

Not my thing either. We do have a local one here that has a couple different buildings on property. Seems pricey to me for what it is but its popular.

They really have gotten expensive, but the one here really is offering a high-quality experience. They have an indoor line-queue complete with Disney-style safety announcements, snack-bar/actual bar, etc. It's pretty slick for a seasonal haunted house, and it gets better every year. The price is definitely a consideration though and I don't go every year. Sometimes bmy buddy scores some free tickets because he works on a radio show, but it varies.

I have been to a couple in my lifetime. I guess the most recent was several years ago in the basement of an old courthouse. The experience itself was OK, but it did kind of freak me out. The super old basement itself was just as creepy as the stuff in it.

My house was built in 1840. I don't need a haunted house. I can just go downstairs.
