Has your first name become more or less common since you were born?

No hard facts to back this up, but I am thinking less, as there seems to be a much greater variety of names in use here now than when I was younger. Of course maybe any popularity drop here is offset by increases in other countries.

Less. Never a very popular name, but most popular in mid-1960’s; I was born in 1969.

More. I remember looking up my name as a teen in a “when it was popular “ article and it said the 1880s . 😬 Now it has made a comeback in the 2000s.

I'd say the nickname (short version of my name) is no longer around much. But the "formal" long, "mom's-mad-at-me" version is still around

My first name is Robert, so pretty common. But I don't go by my first name. I go by my middle name which is very uncommon. I suspect most people here have never met anyone with that name.

Still uncommon and more often than not I run across men with it with a different spelling. I used to not like it as a child because I could never find things with my name on it, but now I quite like it because it's different.

Less. It was number 3 when I was born. I believe it is not even in the top 100 now.

Less. Never all that common, but just enough people have it that you don’t get weird looks.

Used to be very common, for over 30 years, but has dropped off quite a bit since then.
