Has your child been exposed to Pee Wee Herman yet?

Oh dear, what an unfortunate choice of words for this thread's title. :rotfl:

Yeah, I was thinking, 'exposed' is an interesting term to use linking children and Pee Wee Herman. I've censored his shows from my son because I'm not liking people who think public 'heehaw' is ok. Not children type people, imho.

I can't stand Pee Wee ..nope can't do it...:sick:...my kids got a glimpse of him and they fell the way...:thumbsup2

DH put it on Pee Wee's Big Adventure the other night for me. He can't stand Pee Wee, I on the other hand love him. Loved watching Pee Wee's Playhouse too when I was little. My boys were up, but really didn't pay it any mind. I was hoping they would sit & watch it with me. After about 45 mins, I just took it off.

I used to watch Pee Wee's playhouse with my youngest brother, and saw Pee Wee's Big Adventure. My DB and I were just discussing the movie and I couldn't remember it very well. I asked him why we loved it so much? His response, "What's there not to love?!!!" Then he went on and on and on about how great it was. Makes me want to watch it again.

Exposing DD to Pee Wee Herman has been one of the utter delights. That movie is so well done by Tim Burton and the themes are just timeless. Very quotable.

Large Marge scared the shiz out of mmy brother and me when we were little. The first time we watched it, Large Marge did her thing and my brother ran into the kitchen head first into the dining table and fell over. Such good memories.

OMG, I LOVE Pee Wee!!!! :lovestruc
I was in high school when his first movie came out. My best friend and I would watch Pee Wee's playhouse together on Saturday mornings and we were about 19 years old! I still have my original taking Pee Wee doll too!

And, I am going to see him in 4 DAYS!!!! My (still) best friend and I and two other friends are going together and I can't wait! We had originally bought tickets for December but the tickets were selling so well that he moved his show to a bigger venue and changed the dates. As original ticket holders we get to stay after the show and meet him!!!
:yay::yay:
Oh, in response to the OP's question: Yes, my kids love Pee Wee! I have 21 episodes of Pee Wee's playhouse on VHS and they love it
(have to upgrad to DVD soon). They are both wishing that they could go to his show too.

Was it In Living Colour that created the Pee Wee 'Action' figure skit after his arrest? The action was in the arm, it was anatomically correct and said things like "I have the right to an attorney..haHA!"

After all that, he came on the MTV VMAs and everybody went nuts cheering...:lmao:

ETA- Yep, it was Jim Carrey and it's on youtube.

I love Pee Wee! Would I let him babysit my kids? No, but we've watched Pee Wee's Big Adventure numerous times (They're 8 and 9), and they've heard all about Pee Wee's Playhouse. We have the DVD's in our netflix queue.
