has tower of terror changed?

the last time i went to disney (aug. 2003) i was very disapointed with the tot. have they done anything different with it? added any more drops? any new special effects? thanks!

I heard it did change at some point( not sure b/f or after 2003?). In Nov 2004 this is what happened, once it dropped you had no idea how many times it would go up, then drop at some point etc...This happened to us about 4 or 5 x's. Hope you understand this, sorry if it's confusing , and I hope it helps!

I was on TOT last September. I had never been on it before but I can tell you now that they have made the ride "random" which means you never know how many times you'll be dropped. Each ride is different! My BF went on it alone because I didn't think I'd like it. He loved it and said he dropped 2 times. So, I went on it. We dropped 5 times!!!! It was awful. I mean it's a great ride but I couldnt catch my breath. So, if before they only had a standard number of drops, it is different now because each time it's a different number.

last time we went it was different each time .once it dropped, went up ,dropped about 1/2 way went all the way up again and dropped again...yippee!!!!( that was the best imo)

And we go often. On Don's Extravagant Birthday Trip II we had the best sequence ever. As the very beginning we dropped not once but twice, before going up to the view outside the elevator. Terrorific! I think the best drop sequences now have you dropping down to the screen and then on up to the top. It was amazing! This may not make sense to some of you, but ToT is just the best!

Someone once posted the different drop patterns that you may get.
The best are when they drop you , then pull you right up and drop again without stopping. You get a few seconds of 'air time'. It's awesome!

Don't scare ,me like that! I LOVE the TOT and it is just fine as it is LOL!

We were there Dec 04 and it was Random and different each time like all are saying. Never went on it before, so can't say about its past.

It changed around Christmas 2004 as it was a Christmas present from Disney. Tower of Terror 4-it's in control (or something like that). Its awesome, lots more airtime and only seatbelts, no more lapbars!

hi guys
well i have been at wdw twice and so ridden ToT twice :
first time when i was eleven, 2nd time 1 month ago.

when i rode it the first time it scared me to death because i felt the drop was so HUGE and all.

as i went on it last time i was prepared to the worst but i was a little dissapointed because it didnt feel that bad....did they make they change the hight or the speed of the drop or so ? i don't think its as bad as many people say... IMHO

I went on Tot for the first time a few weeks ago .The first drop was the one big one and then it immediately came back up part of the way .Then it did several small drops at the windows .

Last time I went on Tower of Terror was about 11 years ago, back then there wasn't any random drop, just a standard drop sequence. Back then I loved it, rode it somewhere between 11 & 15 times. I'm looking forward to riding it on my upcomming trip. It'll be my wife's first time going to WDW, and we are really looking forward to it.
