Has this week pretty much stunk for anyone else too?

I don't know why all this bad karma is hitting me and my kiddos all at once! :confused3 I'm a good person. I let others out before me in traffic. When someone cuts me off, I don't flip them the bird. I even let someone with just a few items before me in line at the grocery store. LOL

I vented a about a person from craigs list stealing the kitchen set my kids were selling to earn some spending money for their trip in October.

I am on bed rest, and can't do much. The weather has been beautiful this week and I've been forced to sit and watch and not be able to play with my 3 year old outside.

No one else in my family feels the need to clean up after themselves, so I do what I can to clean in short bursts between being solitary and chasing after my very active child.

Last weekend I took my two oldest out to a paint your own pottery place with some of the other moms/ladies and kiddos from my hubby's battalion. We had a good time, but the pieces were expensive! Ah, the cost of fun, right?

Ugh. I am SO glad that today is friday. I have HAD it with this week!!!

We finished, paid, were given our pick up slip and told to pick them up Friday after 5. The girls not so patiently waited all week to pick these up, and talked about how they couldn't wait to see how their paint looked once they were fired. I told them last night that we would go after school (at 5) to go pick them up today. I had to go out anyway to buy snacks for DD's soccer game tomorrow anyway so I'd make the drive. Its a 20 minute out of the way drive over there.

We get there, give them our slip. They check, and all three of the pieces are still in the kiln! So once again this week, I have two very disappointed kids. They said it would be ready after 5 on Friday. They've had a week to fire it, and they're just doing it now?!? I'm not ...impressed, and they've lost a customer. My dad makes pottery, I'm familiar with the process, and I know it doesn't take a week to glaze and fire. I told the lady that it was friday and 5:00 and we were there to pick up our pieces. The kicker? The lady told me it wasn't 5 yet, it was 2 minutes till, right after she just finished telling me that they weren't going to be ready for a long while.

When you tell a customer that their product will be ready to pick up at a certain time and date, you need to have it ready or contact the customer. So now I need to come up with something really fantastic for the kids because they've had a rough week, and none of it has been their fault. Thank goodness next week is spring break, and we can go to the park or have a friend over or something. I'm on bed rest, and I have no idea when I can drive back over there. It may be another week. I try NOT to go out, and if I have to, I combine everything that I can into one trip. Call it pregnancy hormones, but I'm just thoroughly annoyed with this week!

I wasn't mean or anything to the people that worked there, just took my slip back, told the kids that I was sorry, but we had to go and I didn't know when we would be able to pick the pottery up.

Has anyone else just had a sucky week, too? Feel free to vent.:headache:

This week was fairly good until I picked up my paycheck today. I had a lousy week last week... and seeing a horribly low paycheck just really sunk it in today.

I'm excited and dreading the next couple of weeks.

No - this was a great week. Nothing special happened, but my family and I are happy and healthy. Here is a hug... :grouphug:

This week has been lousy! Things keep coming up financially and it seems that once I put something in our savings to go towards our trip, I have to take it right back out for something that has come up. Ugh!

This week has been a great one for me, which is good, because the last few have really sucked.

 I hope next week is your week.

This week has been awful! My workplace has been particularly bad with both bad callers and bad managers. Ugh.

It has deepened my resolve to get some things done though so maybe that's a good thing.

I also hope that next week makes up for this one for both of us. :)

surfergirl602, :hug::hug:
I'm sorry you had such a bad week, and TGIF!
It seems like we all have them from time to time and it makes the good weeks appreciated!

I think the pottery place should have done something nice for you, like give you a coupon for next time, or somthing. They need to deliver on their dates, or at least make it up to you.

This week was a very hard week for my DS. It was end of 3rd quarter for High School and he LITERALLY had 12 tests just this week and a 10 page term paper due next week. This week, a classmate of his was in the car with his father and a friend when his father had a heart attack and died while he was driving. The boys were ok thanks to the quick thinking of the son who swerved the car out of the way of traffic but did wreck the car. Another classmate he knew a year behind him passed away from leukemia. Then today when my DH was driving him home today from DS's bus stop (3 miles away), the car in front of them hit a dog and most obviously killed it.
Yes, we are glad this week is over for sure.

My bad week started last Weds. when DS9 came out of his room with a pocket knife and said he was going to kill himself and his little brother.:scared1::scared1: So after a trip to the pysch. er, it was determined he could be treated as an outpaitent, but the outpaitent services for this hospital had a 4-6 week wait. So after about 10 phone calls I finally found a place that could see him this Tues. Tues comes around and he gets sick with a stomach bug, the 1st time he has had one it 6 years. He is still sick, and I will probably have to miss a baby shower I was looking forward to tomorrow, because DH has to take DS7 to a birthday party both boys were both invited to.

 Hugs to all of you having a hard week

I'm working with a couple people going thru tough stuff which puts strain on all of the rest of us. I was thinking of starting a thread about one person.

My boss told me they hired someone for the position I was filling so I get to go back to being a sub. OH and someone who hasnt done my job in two months is going to teach this lady to do my job! Oh and my boss melts down and yells at my coteacher who in turn yells at me, out of frustation.

I thought this week would be ok - it wasn't even that!! I had three exams today, which I normally don't mind, but my roommates and other things have irritated me beyond belief this week - things are getting to me that shouldn't. I just wanted to rip my hair out!!! Oh yeah, and the building where I was supposed to have two of my exams in had a power outage and I couldn;t go in, so I had to figure out from the grape vine where I was supposed to be for my exams - not cool. Next week will be better though - I'm going to Disney World!!!!!!!!

3 words: MASSIVE. ELECTRIC. BILL. Ughhhh!!!!:scared1:

Staying warm should NOT be this costly. It's not like I have the heat on 85!!

We just got our water bill, and for some reason its like... 4 thousand gallons more than last month!?!? Its not like we washed the cars, or the lawn or anything... we really try to be water conservative, so where did it all go??

EEk! Some of these just put my pottery vent to shame!! On the scale of things, I really shouldn't be complaining! Hugs to everyone for this terrible week!!

This week has been pretty darned good. The whole year before, well, I'm glad I'm a strong person.

Me! Me! Me! :wave2:

Our daughter came down with croup this past Saturday and it turned into an ear and upper respiratory infection. She missed a week of school, and I think my hands are going to fall off if I wash them anymore. (We have a 4-month-old, so I am trying my best to keep everything clean.) Every day I think, "Today's the day her fever is going to break" and then it doesn't. Hopefully, tomorrow's the day her fever will break. :goodvibes

On the bright side, I have been able to watch The Real Housewives of NYC and Toddlers and Tiaras with no guilt (stuck at home, gotta do something :happytv:) as well as seeing the BBC North and South. Also, I am saving a ton in gas money since the car has just sat in the garage for the past several days.

Yep...totally there with ya. Though, I will admit my life isn't as bad at the moment as some of the other posters.. to you all.

My mini vent begins with the 2nd week of Feb when grandd 9 came to live with us because sdd and her dh are having problems, I had to decline a promotion I really really wanted because it would mean some traveling and with a little person around, just not feasible. Have daycare bills now, so that promotion would have been great. Everywhere I turn its money money money with one graduating, end of the year stuff for the others etc.

And to top it all off, everyone just kinda acts like its all me that I am frustrated and kinda resentful right now. Trying to get into that happy place groove...I keep reminding myself that I can do it but geez, how many days lately I have wanted to go back to bed and just stay there!

Not a great week here either...I work part-time for our local newspaper but local elections in most towns we cover were held Tuesday so I worked double my number of usual hours - had to work until Midnight on Tuesday - plus covering for a f/t employee who was on vacation Tues, Wed, Thurs. Friday I finally had a chance to do my own work.

Get home friday evening to a message from the water company that they just read the meter (twice to double check it) and we must have a leak because our bill is "astronomical" hmmm....great. Sure enough I venture down into the basement (which we only use as storage) and a toilet down there is running continously....we dont' use it so I'm not sure how that happened (of course I'm blaming DH) but it did and our water meter is only read QUARTERLY so it is possible that for 3 months we have been filling/draining that toilet bowl incessantly....Great.

So our sewer bill is based on our water consumption so I can expect to double my outrageous water bill because we will have to pay a huge sewer bill as well.

Luckily, the water guy called or it would still be running - wasting water and racking up our bill....I am so scared to see the amount due.

And the kicker - I got a call yesterday from OB's nurse and I have an infection that can be harmful to the baby - start antibiotics immediately...fun fun

Thanks for letting me vent - it is nice to get all that out! Have a great weekend everyone

Darned if I know... that happens every September. I have NO idea why, we don't do anything differently, I just don't get it. We don't even have a lawn or a hose!! What gives?!?!!
