I love Stitch....not 626, but Stitch. Lilo is even on my good list. We have about 2 dozen plush Stitches, a Big Fig Stitch, a couple of other Stitch figurines, t-shirts, and about 150 pins of Stitch. Now, with all that said.
I hate that I almost have to apologize for the SGE ride at MK. Everyone knows me as the Disney nut at my office. Everyone wants to ride the new rides, but when I tell them that it's not suitable for kids under the age of oh...7 or 8, they all laugh and think that I am kidding. One friend just got back and had a horrible time. She asked several people and CM's if it was ok to take her DD age 2 on the ride, they said yes. It was miserable for her. She had to leave in the middle with a screaming baby.
I would love a Stitch wake up call in the morning. I heard they were doing some back in 12/03 when we were last there, but we only got Mickey in the mornings.
The situation with merchandise is always interesting. The movie was charming and we had hoped to pick up a couple of unique Stitch items when we went to WDW in 09/02. There was NOTHING! I mean not even a Stitch plush beanie. In 12/03, we saw a really neat clip on Santa Stitch on a guy's backpack. We looked high and low only to come home and buy one off of eBay. Now, I hear the stuff is everywhere. Great....only what about 2 and a half years too late.
I have heard from CM's on other boards that Stitch is the new mascot character for MGM and I think that's great. At least that gives him a home park. I don't see the SGE ride lasting very long. Maybe they can add something new and origninal for Lilo and Stitch at MGM one day.
I hate that Disney Auctions has made me grow tired of Stitch pins. The designs are not that good and frankly, I don't have $60+ a week to spend on pins of Stitch. I splurged on my purchases of pins last year because we were not going to Disney, this year however, the money is still going to line Disney's pockets, but I will get a vacation out of it. lol
I still wish that they would make Ohana into a character meal with Lilo & Stitch. It would be the perfect match, best that I can tell. Of course, they have needed a character breakfast for the boys for a looooonnnnggggg time.
I loved the original movie. Stitch the movie was just ok. The series is pretty cute, but honestly, Lilo's voice gets on my nerves after a while.
I LOVE STITCH!!!! I just wish Disney would get a clue. Maggie
