Would it be possible to arrange for him to have a little vacation if you know what I mean!!!

Seriously its everywhere............

In the MK ( NEw Ride)
at MGM at entrance
On the monorail
When you book a wake up call from MIckey
And now on the advert for 50th celebration ArrrrGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!

Am I the one who is nuts?????????????

Does anyone else feel the same???

Soon enough it will be another character. Stitch has been DS's fav since he was created. So, we've been on stitch overload for years now. At one point he wanted a stitch themed bedroom.

I feel the same. In Dec. we saw Stitch everywhere. Got a little old!!

While I didn't particularly care for "the ride", Stitch, as a character, is darned cute! That being said, Disney promos come and go, wait a few months.

Not a big fan of Stitch, but I woke up laughing from the wake up call.

Seems strange to me that Stitch is everywhere at WDW and no where in the rest of the world. I was under the impression that the movie didn't make any $$ compared to the likes of Toy Story, Bugs Life, Lion King, etc... maybe I'm wrong

No flames here - we find Stich obnoxious & annoying.
When you say the monorail, is it his voice
that replaces the beloved "Por Favor..."?

Hey all.. Im new to this Disney message board. Ive noticed similiar threads about this on various different forums and I completly agree with you. I loved Stitch.. WHEN HE FIRST CAME OUT. I agree with you that he's getting a bit old. I think the most annoying is the cartoon on the disney channel. It seems as though they are putting him everywhere because he's such a hot item. Im wondering if they ever pondered over-exposure.???

To be totally honest, it sure is nice to have something at WDW that isn't girly princess related. My 11 yo son loves Stitch. I'm thinking Disney is doing so much Stitch to appeal to boys. I like Stitch. He's cute and he's not girly. :flower1:

Disney has a tendancy towards over-promotion. They do it with every new movie, they did it with Pooh, they do it with the Princesses, now Stitch.

That said, I love Stitch. Lilo is riding a surfboard on my dashboard & Stitch hangs from my rearview mirror. I can't even blame it on my kid, cuz my DS is 16 & had nothing to do with it. :earboy2:

Can't stand him. I wasn't a big fan of Pooh and Friends, but the explosion of Stitch merchandise and promotion is even more annoying.

I like Stitch! Mind you, I haven't been over-exposed to him, so I'm not sick of him yet! DS loves him, and I wish they'd put him in a character meal by 2007 when we visit! Pooh and Micky will be a little young for him, and he's not interested in the princesses - we need a character meal for 7 yo boys!!!

I do not agree at all!!!!!! Stitch is my favourite character and when I was in Disney this year I was dissapointed at the lack of Stitch Merchandise.

He is so cute and funny too and I think he should be in more places!!

I love Stitch....not 626, but Stitch. Lilo is even on my good list. We have about 2 dozen plush Stitches, a Big Fig Stitch, a couple of other Stitch figurines, t-shirts, and about 150 pins of Stitch. Now, with all that said.

I hate that I almost have to apologize for the SGE ride at MK. Everyone knows me as the Disney nut at my office. Everyone wants to ride the new rides, but when I tell them that it's not suitable for kids under the age of oh...7 or 8, they all laugh and think that I am kidding. One friend just got back and had a horrible time. She asked several people and CM's if it was ok to take her DD age 2 on the ride, they said yes. It was miserable for her. She had to leave in the middle with a screaming baby.

I would love a Stitch wake up call in the morning. I heard they were doing some back in 12/03 when we were last there, but we only got Mickey in the mornings.

The situation with merchandise is always interesting. The movie was charming and we had hoped to pick up a couple of unique Stitch items when we went to WDW in 09/02. There was NOTHING! I mean not even a Stitch plush beanie. In 12/03, we saw a really neat clip on Santa Stitch on a guy's backpack. We looked high and low only to come home and buy one off of eBay. Now, I hear the stuff is everywhere. Great....only what about 2 and a half years too late.

I have heard from CM's on other boards that Stitch is the new mascot character for MGM and I think that's great. At least that gives him a home park. I don't see the SGE ride lasting very long. Maybe they can add something new and origninal for Lilo and Stitch at MGM one day.

I hate that Disney Auctions has made me grow tired of Stitch pins. The designs are not that good and frankly, I don't have $60+ a week to spend on pins of Stitch. I splurged on my purchases of pins last year because we were not going to Disney, this year however, the money is still going to line Disney's pockets, but I will get a vacation out of it. lol

I still wish that they would make Ohana into a character meal with Lilo & Stitch. It would be the perfect match, best that I can tell. Of course, they have needed a character breakfast for the boys for a looooonnnnggggg time.

I loved the original movie. Stitch the movie was just ok. The series is pretty cute, but honestly, Lilo's voice gets on my nerves after a while.

I LOVE STITCH!!!! I just wish Disney would get a clue. Maggie

Have to admit - I've been waiting to see a lot more of Stitch, too. I LOOOOOVE that little blue guy! (And no, I don't have any kids, but I CAN repeat several scenes from the movie (original) word for word - and Yeah, he took the red one.)

I've never been a big fan of any other characters, but Stitch really grabbed my heart and I can't wait to go back and get some Stitch stuff!

I liked him for a few minutes and now I'm tired of him, his voice and his mannerisms. I'm more for the classic characters.

Sorry, can't agree - we love Stitch in our house!!! :D Haven't been on the ride yet, but have heard bad things. I agree with a previous poster that it's nice to have a different character in the mix.

My 10 year old sister-in-law is absolutely in love with Stitch. They went to WDW in Dec & she came back with half a dozen Stitch beanies & her pin lanyerd was filled with all Stitch pins, but one! :D I think Stitch is a fun character & that is why so many kids like him - I have to agree I think he's great for the boys, too.

My hopes have also been that they would add Lilo & Stitch to 'Ohanna's breakfast - it would be perfect! Disney has so many character meals, but they all feature the same characters. We still love going to all of them, but would love some variety. :D

Jim Hill recently wrote an article responding to this same question. According to his sources within the Consumer Products Division, Stitch has risen to FOURTH on Disney's sales list just behind Pooh, Mickey and the Princesses.

So, you've got a Stitch tie-in to the newest ride in the "World", combined with the fact that he moves merchandise better than hundreds of other characters under the Disney umbrella. What would you do? You'd market the heck out of l'il 626.

Personally, I thought it was overkill, too. But it will pass...they all do.
