We closed on a resale last week. When I called Member Services this morning to see if we were in the computer we were, BUT when I went to go verify my points, it wasn't correct. When we signed the contract, we will have on Oct. 1, 2004, 200 points.
180 + 20 banked points. MS told me that we have 0 points in 2003 (we know that) and 0 points Oct. 1, 2004. I told her this was incorrect and she told me I had to call my resale agent. I did just that but had to leave a message.

Has anyone had any problems like this? I really wanted to make my ressies for November and I guess I can't do that now until this is straightened out. Not sure if I'm going to hear from my resale agent today because I was told to call her Friday if I had any problems. So maybe she has today off!
So now, what do I do?
:( :(

WHOA! That's a BIG difference in what you THOUGHT you bought! I would be calling ASAP! Smells like fraud or a mistake of some kind.

I called MS back and talked to someone else about what just happened. I gave them my contract # this time and everything is FINE!:hyper: :hyper:

I don't know what the first person was looking at but I went over it more than once with Jim from MS.

And get this..........I was able to make my ressies for Thanksgiving week where I wanted.......no wait list needed!!

Now, I can go celebrate!!!!

Second update: Boy, things happen fast around here! As I was getting ready to send this, my resale agent called to inform me that she checked into the matter and my points were probably not transferred yet. I guess 30 minutes makes a big difference!! I guess that's what I get when I call at 9:00 on the dot!
I just wish MS would have a better way of saying that the points were not transferred yet. Instead I heard, "you have 0 points for 2004".

First off, WELCOME HOME
This happend to me too and I still don't have any points in my account. We closed last Tuesday and when I called MS earlier this week, they told me we were in the DVC system but I had no points.
Several others on this board has had this happen. I'm not sure why it takes this much time for the points to transfer from one account to another but apparently it does for some.
This being a month end was the most logical reason I've heard but who cares!!! I want my POINTS that I paid for.
One CM told me call my Disney salesperson, although mine was a resale  and one of the DIS board member recommended calling the DVC Accounting.
I'm not worried, just yet, since I wasn't planning a trip until next April but since your trip is coming up much much sooner, I'd keep calling MS every day until they can figure out what's taking so long. I'd also call you resale agent as well as your closing agent to chase the issue from their ends. It didn't take this long for them to cash my check ::yes:: and they shouldn't expect us to be waiting this long to make our first ressie :sad2:

I called after reading about your success story and sure enough, I have my points as well :thewave: and was able to book my first ressie. My only problem now is figuring out how to patiently wait 8 1/2 months before my first trip home :teeth: I just might go nuts before then :rotfl:

Whew! I'm glad it turned out to be a mistake. Welcome Home!!!

Congratulations!!!! Boy, that pixie dust sure is flying around today!! It's great to be able to celebrate together!! Not only was I able to get my ressies for November, but I just called MS again to book our June vacation. No need to waste any time, right??? I was so excited when I was told that my points were in the system and the studios at VWL were available in Nov., I completely forgot to book my June vacation. I got the studio for all my nights in June as well. I can't wait to go home either!!

As far as keeping busy to pass the time, well, I'm into cross-stitching and am presently working on Cinderella's castle with Tinkerbell flying over it with fireworks. My goal is to have it finished before my Nov. trip. Then I can get it framed while on vacation and have it back for when we get home. We'll see if it works out that way.
