strep...that's the worst! Hope he feels better soon! I'm back at work and still feeling a little foggy. But overall better, I think.

I didn't do my "this time next week" yesterday so I will do it now! This time next Monday, 3/28, my mom and I will be heading to DHS! This is not our favorite park persay, but it does have some of our favorite rides. Must do's include RNRC, TOT and TSM. I'd also like to do GMR. Anything else we do is gravy. We don't have any ADRs made for today at the park.

Then we will have a much needed pool break back at the BC.

Tonight, I planned on us heading to DTD for some shopping and dinner. Again, no specific plans as far as where we are eating as of yet. Maybe Wolfgang Puck...or Earl of Sandwich. Or we may check out the new restaurants down there.

**I also have another surprise for my mom that came about suddenly, but I'm going to keep it a secret from you all as well until my TR!**

You are SUCH a tease!!! Making us wait! :goodvibes

I LOVE your plans and lack there of as well! Go with the flow and enjoy it all. Praying you are feeling MUCH better today! And we would STILL take Winston...Rachel would have enjoyed the challenge. :flower3: She actually got my Moms little dog (another chihuahua, more the stereotypical type though) to learnhow to sit...and trust me, this is a dog with attitude as well. :rotfl:
THREE ... MORE ... DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo::dance3::woohoo:

I forgot that Rachel is like a "dog whisperer" ;) And Winston does seem to be better for everyone else but me - kinda like kids and their parents from what I hear :rotfl:

I am feeling better, thank you. Yesterday after I posted that I was feeling better, the lady who shares a classroom with me told me I look feverish and then with her magic mommy hands, said yep you've got a fever. Then the teacher next door told me I looked pale and flushed. So I headed to the office, and they pretty much just told me to get out of there! So I headed to the doctor since I DID NOT want this to turn into a big huge infection or something that would ruin our vacation. Turns out its just an upper repiratory infection and I did in fact have a fever, which is rare for me - I hardly ever get fevers, even as a child. But I was advised to rest and take lots of fluids, and he gave me some cough medicine to take at night so I can sleep. I still feel off, but not the fevery ache that I had yesterday.

Wow I didn't even realize 3 days! I just seem to be trying to get through the work week! I have today, tomorrow and Friday I'm taking a half day - it is a teacher planning day. I was going to get my nails done, but I'm really not in the mood to do it or spend the money on it. I know I will be stopping at the bank to get some cash (my spending money ) and maybe a couple snacks for the car ride.

Believe it or not, even though I’ve been to WDW a few times in the last year or so, I can’t quite remember the last time I made it to the MK! Like I said earlier, a lot of our recent trips have been very short and we’ve only done one park. Hmmm, I think I was last at MK in November of 2009? Wow, that’s a long time ago. Wait, no I think I was there in April 2010? That’s still close to a year ago. Anyway, it’s been awhile for me. So I’m looking forward to hitting all my old favorites.

One of my favorite MK rides is the HM. I could ride it over and over and never get sick of it. When I was a college program CM back in 2002, the promotion was something about memories/favorites. I’m sure many of you have noticed that the CM nametags say the city/state they are from. Well back then they stopped that for a bit and had the CM put their favorite Disney ride/place. Well mine was the Haunted Mansion! Of course, those guests that happened to actually read it and comment thought it was where I worked – which made it really confusing since I actually worked in Epcot. Probably why they went back to the city/state combo…

Some of our other must do’s when we are at MK:
PeopleMover
Buzz Lightyear
CoP
Peter Pan
Pooh
HM – duh!
Pirates
JC
Maybe BTMRR, depending on the line/crowds
Dole Whip (actually I’m thinking Dole Whip Float)
Exploring the shops – not just the ones on Main Street!

Hopefully with the crowds, we will still be able to get these things done - and in a timely manner.

We have a lunch ADR today at MK for Liberty Tree Tavern. My mom and I both love the pot roast, but who knows what we will get this time. We've been very into ordering 2 things we both like and then "sharing" them. Best of both worlds that way.

I have no doubt we will once again head back to the resort for some pool time and probably will not return to the MK that evening. I have no idea what we will do for dinner, but there are lots of options around us so I'm sure we will find something yummy and just enjoy our last night at WDW :guilty:

"This Time Next Week...Wed 3/30"
Today is the worst day of your vacation. The day you go home. :sad1: Our checkout day routine is always the same. We wake up, have breakfast and leave. We rather get an early start and just get home, instead of hitting a park or even the pool. Sometimes we have a nicer sit down breakfast somewhere, but I don't have anything planned as of yet. That could change though...the breakfast at Kouzina is looking pretty good!

Then after about 3 hours in the car, we'll head home. My mom will head back to her house and I will do boring back to reality things like grocery shopping, unpacking and laundry. Oh and picking up Winston of course ;)

I'm pretty sure my sister and I are going to be going to DHS that day too! TSM mad dash, here we come! :rotfl:

I am dreading that, but I soooo want to ride it. Twice if possible, so maybe we will attempt to get there really early, ahead of some of the crowds.

woooo only 3 days!!! Have fun at pick a pearl! Maybe you'll get twins too!

So excited! 1 1/2 more work days! I will probably only do the pearl thing if I like the settings they have - I'm way to lazy to actual do something once I get home, but I've seen some cute pictures of the disney settings, just not sure of the pricing.

Curious, what did you oyster look like that had the twins? I've heard the really ugly, hairy ones often have the larger pearls too.

I'm pretty sure my sister and I are going to be going to DHS that day too! TSM mad dash, here we come! :rotfl:

On our visit last week, the TSM dash was more controlled than I had ever seen it. Although there was still quite a crowd heading down there, the cast members did a good job funnelling the crowd through the arch and the little adjacent gateway and staying in front of it to keep people from running. Then they started waving people who wanted fast passes to move to the right, and the vast majority of the crowd did that. So, even though we weren't that close to the front of the line when we started, we ended up in the first vehicle of the day. (I will confess that we did some judicious fast walking to reach that position.)

When we got out the fast pass line was still pretty crazy, but since my wife doesn't like to do TOT or RNRC she waited to get fast passes while my daughter and I went ahead to do those rides. The fast passes she got had a return of 12:45. Emma and I did TOT with a pretty short wait (maybe 10 minutes) and then did single riders on RNRC. We got there at about 9:40 and the standby line was already over an hour. It took us about 25 minutes to get through the single rider line, but by 10:10 we had done each of the park's Big 3.

we were chatting earlier and I mentioned the Epcot dinner reservation and she mentioned how it would be nice to walk around Epcot at night for a little bit...little does she know :rolleyes1

Yeah she's not going to be upset she'll be happy :goodvibes

I'm also getting even more interested in checking out the Pick a Pearl stand in Japan, so we will definitely be stopping there.

I did that on our last trip, now I just have to find what to do with my pearl. LOL

**I also have another surprise for my mom that came about suddenly, but I'm going to keep it a secret from you all as well until my TR!**

Yeah a surprise for us too! Can't wait to hear what it is!

Hope you're feeling better.

I probably won't get a pearl unless I also get a setting from them as well...otherwise I know the pearl will just sit in my drawer and collect dust!

I'm not going to lie...the surprise definitely benefits me as well, but I'm keeping it a secret from my mom and all of you. ;) But you will find out shortly after I get back what it is since I won't be able to do my trip report without sharing it.

Thanks...today I'm finally feeling better! Still stuffy and definitely coughing but the aches and fogginess have gone away. I was having a weird side effect to the cough syrup he gave me - I swear within 20 minutes of taking it, I had a headache! Not fun when you are trying to fall asleep. It happened all 3 times I took the medicine. So I called this morning and asked if they would give me something else and he prescribed a pill...hopefully it works. The coughing during the day the stinks but I really hate it at night when I want to sleep!

2 more sleeps! :cloud9:

1 more sleep! :cloud9:

Talking to my mom last night - she is aiming to leave her house by 7am, which would put her at my house by 8:15, but I'm not holding my breath that she'll leave right at 7am. But still she should be here by 8:30!

I cannot wait to see my mom's reaction when she realizes we are staying at the BC. I'm actually unsure now what I should do to tell her. She doesn't know the roads all that well up there, but she does know that if we turn down the road by the Boardwalk, we probably are not in the right place for POFQ. So I don't know if I should just sort of tell her as we are driving down that road or just play dumb and make it seem like I'm going a new way :confused3

Ok, teacher workday today - but I'm leaving at noon, maybe 11:30 since practically half the school took off today. Then off to the bank, fueling up the car and I think that's it! Then home to pack, clean, and chill. :cloud9:

TGIF!:cutie:

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

I for sure missed the memo that you are staying at BC instead!!!

My parents are talking about a possible summer trip to Orlando but doing Universal and maybe a few days at Vero Beach. What are your thoughts on that??!! I hear it's pretty quiet and there's not a whole lot around which makes me a tad nervous plus the prices in the summer holy cow..$300+ for a studio! We could go to Disney for cheaper!! Anyways, they are tossing around the idea but I'd much rather go somewhere that at least has some shopping or entertainment! We used to Vacation at Hilton Head a ton when I was little and it was pretty quiet there but still had shopping and dining within driving distance. Let me know!!

HAPPY PACKING!

Thanks! I made the change to BC while you were on your vacation...I tend to make quick decisions  Keep your eyes peeled for FB updates, but I've tried to promise myself not to be compulsive about checking FB and email all day long so maybe just a couple pictures here and there!

Universal? Not a huge fan although I'm dying to see the WWOHP. I'd choose disney over universal anyday. Vero Beach...I've never been actually and it's only an hour north of me! It's pretty much a beach resort, and I will say the beaches in this area are beautiful. There is also a nice outlet mall near there and from what I've read (and heard from friends here), they do have things to do, restaurants, shopping, etc. Not a huge town but definitely not super quiet. It'd probably be nice to do a half and half trip - the hustle and bustle of park touring plus some relaxing beach and shopping time in Vero.

Packing is pretty much done...just have to throw some of Winston's toys into his bag in the morning, plus throw my toiletries in my bag as well. I just took my cough medicine and hoping it kicks in soon so I can fall asleep because right now I'm  wide awake! I may or may not get online in the morning and probably won't go on the DIS at all until I return - much too annoying to type and post on my iphone. So....thanks for reading through my planning adventures! Stay tuned for the fun part...the trip itself! I will let you all know if I'm just going to start a new TR or continue with this thread. "See" you all Wednesday! :cutie:

Have an AMAZING TIME!!!! :yay::woohoo::yay:
Praying for safe travels, great bonding time with Mom and LOTS of Disney Magic! I can't wait to read all about it!!! :goodvibes

Have a great time! I will have to wait till you are back here for your updates. ENJOY!

Oh my, I missed telling you to have a wonderful time! We'll be thinking of you guys and can't wait to hear all about it!!

Oh I missed you, you're there! Hope mom enjoys the resort, I'm sure she will. Can't wait until you return for all of the pictures.
