We've been here for a few days. Certain spots are walled off, mostly by tomorrow land, but it doesn't seem to be causing any problems with traffic. The street and the sidewalks are still open.
We were saying goodbye to D-Land on Thursday early afternoon and they had a wall in the street to the right of the Walt and Mickey Statue(looking towards the Castle) that started at the end of Main Street after the park benches in front of the Plaza Inn that are on the sidewalk. You could still walk on the sidewalk around the wall. It looked strange having a wall in the street though.
ummm... you can wish. They do say a dream is a wish your heat makes. (I wouldn't count on it though - unless "2 weeks" means March in your timing. hehe)
Seriously though, you will still enjoy the Park. It's not going to keep you from having a good time! After all, you are going to be at Disneyland!
Yup, they started walling it off right before we left. It was not that big of a deal but it will be nice when it's all done in March. We were talking to a CM, pin trading, and he was saying that everything should be done by March.
Yes, thank you for the link and photos on it. I am so glad I am not visiting anytime soon. There is a lot fenced off, especially of main street and the entrance. I know it won't last too long and everything will be better afterwards.
Anyone know how long the wall will be around the mickey flower display?
We'll be there the 21st, 22nd, and 25th of this month. I can live with all of the walls. Sure, it looks bad...but I don't care. We'll make the best of it. I've seen the park looking good and wall-free hundreds of times. So at least this is something different...haha.
I asked a CM (PP photog) when Main St. would be torn up and he said toward the end of the month (January). We'll be going a few times between now and Jan. 30th so if I see any demo started I'll post it here.
We were there yesterday and it is not walled off anymore. The flowers need to bloom a little more to fill in the balloons - it took me a minute to figure out what they were supposed to be!
