Again, thank you for the posts disneydaz! The floral-esque decorations on the streetlamps look very festive .

So basically what they're doing is repaving Main Street piece by piece, no? So that way there will always be pieces that the guests can walk on and it's not the wild thought I had that ALL traffic would be directed to the two sidewalks?

Don't you just love Darkbeer's "Monday in the Parks" commentary and pictures he posts each week? I don't read or post much on that board, but I do read his column each week and appreciate it very much. I always think I need to meet him (and Lisa) to thank him for all he does.

I'm sure they're working as quickly as is safe, as they do need to start rehearsals for the new "it'saparadelikeperformancebutwe'regoingtoinsistthatitisnotaparade" street show, Celebrate! A Street Party if they're going to meet the expected debut date of 27 March.

Just a quick update-we were there Friday and the tall wall on the TL side of the hub is down. There are some smaller, 1/2 all enclosures up and down the street, but the biggest one is gone. I'm assuming that they'll have to put a big wall on the FL side of the hub some time soon though.

OOPS, next poster is right, there is one full height wall in the middle of Main St. It does block view of the castle, but the one in the hub is gone.

There were barely any walls up when we were there last week.
It didn't take away from the magic, was nice looking still

Though there was a huge one in California Adventure.

Thanks for the update! So the walls on MS have gone down?

I'd expect walls to be out on and off at DCA for the next few years until they get done with the expansion.

There were still a few half walls, but nothing that wrecks or obstructs your view of Main Street.
It is amazing to me, how one day there was a wall in a certain spot, and the next day it was gone. Then another one would pop up somewhere else, and be gone in a couple of days too. They are very good!

Yes, Main Street is up and running like it should be. Once I saw the MS vehicles, I was so excited that I literally started hitting my DDad w/ my scarf.

Rehersals are always held after the Park closes and has been cleared of guests. So you won't see anything during the day.

There was an announcement that they were going to have fireworks yesterday if the weather was cooperating, but I decided to go to dinner, so I don't know what happened.

Fireworks were indeed touched off last night. They were already scheduled to be shown because of the holiday. However, since the weather forced the Parks to close early, they were moved to an earlier time.
