Last night Jack Hanna was on David Letterman and he asked him how he would capture the snake.

Jack replied that he would put flour all over the floor and then they could watch the tracks the snake made in it and see where he was.

I heard on New York radio this morning that it could take weeks to find the snake.

A bummer for people who like the reptile house and hopefully, he can't get out of there.

do you have any idea how small a space a snake can crawl into? How well they can wrap around pipes? wiring?

they can't go ripping apart the reptile house just to find a snake, especially since I don't think this is and endangered species or anything.. It will either come out or die. and having workers rooting around looking for it is a very good way to get someone bit when they accidentally reach their hand into an opening because they can hide and you won't see it until you touch it or it strikes you.

If architects can make earthquake buildings in earthquake regions and Frank Lloyd Wright can build the Guggenheim Museum totally round without corners, angles, or visible openings, why can't that architects build reptile/snake houses where all the wiring is hidden and openings are plugged or sealed up enough with rubber gasket material so the very habitat can't hide, hang or get through? They knew when they were building the zoo, what it would be used for.

Well the latest NY metro news at noon says they are putting out cages with live mice/rats in them, hoping the snake is hungry and will come out to eat.
