Has Staff changed the way they are giving out the prizes in the Costume Contest?

At Castle? this morning they were giving them with a trade window now a guest just one the prize and she said VMK_Staff aid he took her name and she would get prize later????


Yeah Right! Like I would hold my breath for that one.


Anyone else told this?

idk cause the room my son was just in they gave a prize to EVERY person in the room but him and one other, even people that came in the room after him.

I was just in the costume contest myself and was told that trade is not working properly right now. The staff member took down our names (yes there were 4 or 5 choosen as "good" costumes) and said that our prize will be given to us. He also said that he would decide on prizes later.



But hey, at least I finally won SOMETHING in all these silly events

Mal, I asked Choco_cooky this same question, her answer was, ' Yes, there are different! Some got huanted suit gray and some got only a small pin. I myself got a candly cauldron. What did you get?' I felt odd because all I got was a pin. I got one little tiny pin! It was for sale none the less VMK_Zoo said mine was one of the best she'd seen too . How rude!!

I WAS WAITING IN THE CASTLE FORECOURT FOR ALMOST AN HOUR AND NO STAFF SHOWED UP!!!!!!!!!!!I USUALLY DO MY BEST TO TELL MYSELF THAT IT IS JUST A GAME BUT THIS IS TOO FAR!!!!!!!!!!I MESSAGED VMK_BABS AND SHE SAID SHE DIDNT KNOW WHO WAS COMING,SO WHY DIDN'T STAFF COME!DID THEY NOT LIKE MY MASTER GRACIE PRINCESS OUTFIT?

Well I finally saw a staff person after waiting on and off for 11 hours.
VMK_LoLo; she picked 2 people and told them to "follow her".


I told myself over and over, "don't believe", "don't trust they will get it right this time", I said I wouldn't hang around all day trying. But since it is Disney I went ahead and believed anyway. Got burned for it--again.

Thanks I am not surprised at this...I just hope everyone who wins and did not get the prize right then gets it in the long run.....

In my contest, VMK_Flamingo came in and said "____, you win a pumpkin. ____, you win the haunted mansion suit. Miakoda, you win inferno. Prizes will be given later". And left.

I wish to God I had taken a screen shot of her saying that because I have an odd feeling (based on my excitement of winning top prize) that I will not get it. I want to find out how to join VMK staff because, boy, will I put those guys in line. these events are so out of control, poorly planned, and poorly executed. I dont' know what goes thru these people's minds. Really. Then I went to another contest that mousefan had been waiting in for almost two hours, right before closing, to watch. They were saying no one had come to judge, and that VMK_Babs just walked in and didn't judge, and left. There were some great costumes too....if I had been up against those people I would not have won a pumpkin, much less inferno. Here is my screen shot of that sadness:



I was saying "they should, being halloween and all...." about that they should do the contest again tomorrow. What a mess.

Two of the cutest costumes I saw was a Circus Ring Master (top hat, red sweater/white shirt top, black pants and shoes) and a guy dressed as Yeti (blue skin, white hair, white clothing)

Well, if I had remembered the costume part of the event, I would have dressed as Gilligan - white explorer's hat, red shirt, lightest color pants and probably the black and white sneakers. I don't know how I would have communicated who I was in VMK but I would have tried to say something like, "Skipper's Little Buddy". Oh well.

Me too when I first looked through my pins, I did not see it this afternoon and was bummed. But then I decided to trade all my (126!) NPC pins to a mule to get them out of my way, and I found it! Yay! I was barely on for 5 mins and got at least 3 requests to trade it. Sigh....if only ppl would read my signature! I mean, it's right there in the box where you click "trade"!
