If I had no interest in children or parenting, I wouldn't watch a show about children and parenting.

But that's just me.

It's not after a TV show that i think "I don't want any kids", it's usually after a trip to Disney... :rolleyes1

Amen to that! So many of the kids I see there(and at home for that matter) are so UNGRATEFUL. I mean, I would have kissing my parents feet for taking us to WDW. I think part of it is 1) people take kids who are a little young, IMHO. and 2) many kids these days are spoiled and just take a lot of things for granted. Some woman wrote a book recently on how the Generation Y kids and the ones after them are extremely narcissistic. She blames it on schools and parents taking the whole self-esteem thing a little too far. You know, like kids get a ribbon or trophy just for participating because God forbid, they might figure out that they can't be good at everything. All that really isn't the kids fault though. It's lazy parents who figure it's easier to let them have their way.

Unfortunately, people who really should not have children are generally not introspective and would not recognize or even consider that they may not make great parental candidates. So, I doubt the Nanny 911 and other examples of extremely bad parenting would have any affect on their decision making.
JMHO

Indeed, every child has to be the best, they are all princes and princesses, ... It's already quite different from mytime, and i'm not THAT old.

But anyway, I still want children :) Perhaps that Sunday evening, after 4 days at Disney, I have changed my mind again  but in general, I want children.

That is exactly why we watch it........So we can say "boy we made the RIGHT choice to show NO interest at all in children OR parenting" :lmao:

This show wouldn't have changed my mine about having children, but I am grateful for our situation after seeing what other families have to go through. DH can't even watch it because some of the parents are straight up just oblivious to how harmful their actions or reactions are to children. I like watching it to see what the Nanny's suggest for coping skills, reward ideas, or positive interaction with the kids.
