Has HH DVC replaced its rental bikes since last summer?

They were not in good shape last year. In fact, my niece could have been seriously injured when her brakes failed.

We were there in mid-March and they had just replace the bikes a few weeks earlier. They were really nice, same style, just in much better shape.

Ours were fine when we were there at the end of February. They seemed to have an abundance of bikes. My recommendation would be to try out whatever they give you and, if you or anyone else in your family isn't satisfied, tell them and they'll get another one out for you to try. They seemed more than willing to accommodate us.

Yes, they have all new bikes. The only thing is, I think they all have coaster brakes. I'm so used to hand brakes! I always pedal backwards when I am coasting, and darned near flew over the handle bars!

Thanks for the laugh! At least it sounds like I'm not the only one who does embarrassing things on the bikes. Last time I was fine until I got right in front of the Lodge. Then I fell over, reminded DH of the little man on the tricycle on "Laugh-In" (Woops-am I showing my age?)
