Has anyone used the Disney Club code at National in 2004?

I know Disney Club no longer exists but the code still works. I'm very leary about using it but am tempted by the discount.

Is there anyone here who did use it this year? Or did everyone change their minds and switch to a different contract number before your trip (which is probably what I'll end up doing)?

Thanks!

Yep, I sure did, in Feb. No problems at all. If they accept it on the reservation, they have to honor it.

Gail, did you have to present the card? I threw mine out but if you say they have to honor the code I may be tempted to try it.

Oh you did? For some reason I thought you ended up switching your reservation to a different code right before your trip. I thought you didn't want to risk it.

Well, then, I'm more tempted to try it then. Rates for Oct/Nov are well over $200 and that DC code takes a nice chunk out of the total!

Thanks!

I miss the DC code. :( We are talking about the "old" code. The really "old" code. The really good "old" code. I would love to use it too.

I still have my April reservation for a convertible with the "old"DC code and it is $62.00 less than AAA discount.I keep waffling about cancelling/not cancelling.... I am encouraged that Gail was able to use this discount. On our upcoming 18 day trip this is a substantial savings for us!!

I'm not trying to point a finger at anyone, but I think we should discuss this topic as little as possible. You never know who is listening. This is clearly an oversight at National and they could yank it at anytime. I think the bulk of our former DC members know what the deal is. I think we should speak of this no more and take them for everything and anything we can. Ok everyone? Shhhhhhh..........

No, they have never asked me for the card.

Yes, I did switch, then I switched back. I decided to risk it. :)
Lately that code has been very low, I found the EC code to be better.

I called National about 2 days ago asking if there were any discounts being offered for Disney Visa holders. She was looking in her computer and naming off all the current offers. As she was saying them out loud, she said, Oh here I have the Disney Club offer. I told her no the Disney Visa. She said, "No, all I have is the Disney Club."

I am not surprised they don't have a Disney Visa promo code, National is no longer the official rental car. BUT, I bet Alamo has a promo code for the Disney Visa since they are the official rental car.

I just checked out my member offers, and there's offers for both National and Alamo.

Go to bankone.com/disney, set up an online account, and you can check all the current offers.

Thanks Dan! I went on their web site the other day, but I couldn't find anything for Disney Visa holders. I will check again.

I am trying for one of those "Gail" prices, I just can never seem to get them that low.

OK, this makes no sense.

I put in just the DV code, the base rate is 260.00 or something, with 10.00 off for the code.

I use the WWEB code with the DV code, and I get a base price of 185.00, but with no discount for the DV.

Oh well.

For one thing, stop putting in the WWEB code, let National assign that code.
Forget the base code, it will change for each promo. You are looking for the bottom line, not the start line.

A lot of times your cookies will interfere with your reservation rate, clear the cookies and start over again. I know it is a pain, but, sometimes it needs to be done.

If you are a EC member, try the 5007125 contract ID, that is for EC members only and the only place you can really use it is inside the EC area.

In all honesty, I have yet to see a credit card code that gives you a decent rate. Or, in the case of a low base rate, the discount has already been factored in to the base rate. That is why you will often see a large variance in the base rates.

Again, don't mess with the rate code.
