Has anyone used the babysitting service at the resort hotels?

I am wondering about the babysitting services that are offered from the resorts? Has anyone used them and happy with the care given? It would be nice for a few hours that myself and DH can go on some of the adult rides together since Matthew will be to small for the ones we want to go on.

I used the babysitting services referred by GCH two years ago for DSs (then 1 and 3 years old). I think it was Babysitters Unlimited, if I recall correctly. I took the opportunity to interview the director of the agency and the actual babysitter before we came to DL. I don't think that's necessary, but I just did it to increase my comfort level.

Last minute the sitter that I interviewed fell ill and was not able to come. I agreed to have another sitter. Her name was Storm and my kids liked her alot. I OKed watching TV in the room while we were gone. I asked her to call me every hour to give me an update and an opportunity to talk with my 3 year old (again not necessary, but just something I did out of nervousness with a new person). Storm checked in every hour and was able to get both of my kids to sleep.

I feel it was a success and would use the service again. My son must have really enjoyed it, as when we returned to GCH the following year he asked, "Where is my Disneyland babysitter?" and was disappointed when I told him that he wouldn't have one this year. He clearly remembered it as a fun evening that he wanted to repeat.

Good luck deciding. I'm really glad we did it as it gave my husband a chance to go on some "taller rides" and watch Fantasmic. But I certainly understand feeling nervous about using the babysitting services.
