Has anyone tried to contact Best Friends Kennel at Disney?

I have tried 5 times to contact the 'Best Friends' Kennel at Disney over the past month. I have tried early morning, mid-day, later in the evening, mid week, weekend, etc. Each time I call I get the "We are experiencing heavy call volume, please leave a message we will return your call" recording so I have left my name and number each call. :confused3I was originally interested in possibly leaving our dog there 1 or 2 days (just for daycare) when we have long days at the parks but, to tell the truth, I have been totally surprised with the fact that I cannot reach a human. Suppose my dog was there and I needed to check on her? Would I be able to contact them? Even when I press the selection "to check on my pet" there was no response. I am starting to get a complex! LOL. Has anyone else tried to reach them? Thanks for any help.

We put our dog in for 3 days March 2011.

We were there during the really really bad storms (tornados and all); no one ever answered the phone; and the two times I went to see her, I stood there for over an hour and could not get in to see her. They had two people working and there were only 3 or 4 people ahead of me both times, either dropping off or picking up their dogs. After waiting, I had to go, once because I had to help DH with his dialysis treatment and the other we had dinner reservations. :worried:

She came out shaking when we picked her up. She didn't eat the whole time she was there and her blankets all smelled like urine (and were soaking wet in places). :furious:
I will never leave her there again.

We found a local place, used them once when we went scout camping. She came home happy--her blankets smelled like her (so they weren't washed) but not wet or stinking. She ate, got time to play outside a few times a day (and they even played ball with her) and she swam in their pond. They answered their phones promptly (once went to voice mail and they called me back with an hour), and sent a video on the phone (unprompted!) of her playing in the yard with the other dogs and the owner.

name of this local place please! when we visit our in laws often come over for a day trip to the parks to hang with us. the trip is long enough that they want to kennel their dog but it would be easier to kennel her near disney rather than near their home. this place sounds like it would be perfect for a doggie day care situation or a one night sleep over.

I recently moved from North orlando to South Orlando. I use Bass Pet Motel which is near Give Kids the world. I've Also used Dog Day afternoon in downtown orlando as well.

Thanks for your information. After hearing what happened to you I would never leave our dog there.

So sorry for you and especially for your dog. Thank you for sharing and being forthcoming on your experience.
