We are leaving for WDW in16 days. I will be 28wks pregnant. I purchased one of those maternity belts/belly belts. This is my second pregnancy and this child I believe is much larger than my last. My belly feels so heavy to me. Anyways, my question is, does anyone know if they work?:confused3 Even a little bit? Or if anyone has any suggestions. I have very comfy tennis shoes and loose fitting clothes and a 2yr old DD who must take naps so I'm set with that. But any other suggestions are welcomed!

I used one with my second pregnancy, too. My 2nd was bigger than my first and I think those muscles in your abdominal wall are a LOT looser the second (and third and so on) time around. Yes, it seemed to help. I used it when on my feet a lot--teaching preschool and walking around at the mall, etc, so I think it would be a great relief at Disney. Good luck and take it easy! :goodvibes

Yes they do.I was working 12 hr shifts as an Rn when I was pregnant and relied on the belt to help support my belly and back.

Yes, it was very helpful for me (my DD was low and transverse, which is an uncomfortable combination!) The belt itself got uncomfortable at times, but it still felt better than going without if I had to be on my feet.

My second child was a BIG baby--2.5 lbs larger than the first. She carried low too, so my back hurt all the time. I wore a belly band from about week 24, along with sturdy shoes, to relieve back pain. I'll tell you, it made a huge difference for me :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the replies. I was hoping to hear this. Not that the belt was all that expensive, but we all know it is a pain to buy something use it and find out it doesn't work.

Another vote that it does help.
Here's a tip: instead of removing the belt to use the bathroom, just pull it up over your belly. It'll save a few minutes getting your clothes back together.

With my last baby I was ENORMOUS! In order to help support the weight of my belly at a wedding, I decided to get a pair of maternity spanx. I'll tell you what I LOVED them. I wore them all the time. http://www.spanx.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2990118

Absolutely worth the money. I wore them with gauchos and they were perfect. the spanx were supportive and the gauchos light and comfy. Plus they were loose enough and cotton for breathability.

good luck with everything! :)

I used one and it was a life saver. I couldn't believe that I needed one, but once I started wearing it, it was great. When my DD was born, it was clear WHY...she was 10lbs 5oz:scared1:

I think getting one while at WDW is a great idea. It may be a little warm though.

I used one when I had twins. They were a combined weight of just over 8 pounds, but I sure was big. It helped alot.

I had one with my 2nd and 3rd and it was a major PITA. I hated it! It was hot and uncomfortable. It made my back hurt worse!!! I just didn't like it at all
