Has anyone tried Skechers Gowalk shoes?

My 3rd trip to DL is in 6 weeks and over the summer I have been doing some extra neighborhood walks trying out all my shoes. So far my Keens and Columbia Sports Wear sandles have made the cut but all of my gym shoes maybe good for the gym but not so good for pavement. After reading some of the other post I decided that maybe I should get a walking shoe instead. I came across Skechers Gowalk. I am not big on the slip on style but the lace up ones called Nice where cute. I was hoping maybe someone owns a pair or has even worn them to the parks.

I have a pair of the slip on type. They are comfortable, like a cushy slipper, for wearing around on my normal day, but they wouldn't have enough support for me for the amount of walking I do at the parks. The arch is fairly flat, and the whole sole bends very easily, as is quite unstructured. I imagine the lace up style has the same footbed as the slip on type, but I haven't tried those, so I could be wrong.

I love Keens, and for my foot, the Asics footbed works well.

I would have to agree I can't see them great for a long day of walking.

I got a great pair of Ryka walking sneakers, look like reg sneakers and they are so comfortable and have a ton of support.

another thing to remember is that the go walk shoes are designed to wear with out socks...so besides potential blisters...they will get stinky very very very fast. They really dont fit well with socks either.

I have some Keens slip ons and bought some of those little tiny socks that are similar to what you wear when trying on shoes. They have a little gel thing in the heel so they don't slip and work well. Still my Keens were not as comfy as I thought they'd be.

I have a bad knee and specifically looked up the best walking shoes and one of the top 5 was Merrell's. I bought a pair yesterday and while they were spendy I think they are going to be really good. I used to wear crocs but with my knee I need a LOT of support, good arch support etc. These seem to work really well and they recommended for extra comfort to get the gel insoles and they are pretty nice!

I love my Merrell's for the park. I also have Saucony tennis shoes that are great for long wear. Had to give up anything made by Sketchers after being scolded by my doc (no more support than standard beach flip flops according to him) more than once. I now subscribe to the "Life is too short to wear uncomfortable\cheap shoes." I still like to change shoes midday though, that way my feet don't even really get tired, even after 17 hours of being on my feet.
