I'm having a major stroller issue. I have a Zippy, LOVE it, love all the features, but it's not very light or compact and I'm concerned about carrying it on the busses while holding my 19 month old. I bought a Wendy from BRU but I took it back because I can't stand the foam handles (sensory issue). I'm debating if I should just buy a cheap lightweight to bring (don't want a Mac). Has anyone taken theirs on the bus ALONE (keyword), with their DC? Was it cumbersome? Any recomendations for something else? TIA

We took ours, but we had a 7 week old and the monsterous sun shade alone made it worth the hassle of taking it. I think getting on the bus with the stroller and your child without assistance could be a little challenging, but not impossible. At 19 months, my recommendation would be to not get an umbrella type stroller. Your child will probably be in the stroller a good bit of the time, including some sleep time, and you'll want something comfy for him/her. We were very happy to have our Zippy w/us.
