Nope. I really could care less about other's political views. And I'm not going to penalize myself from eliminating potentially entertaining media simply because of someone's viewpoint.
I mean, if Tim Robbins and Charlton Heston were in a movie together, would I need to see the movie because of one of their political views but not see it because of the others?
I agree. I have good friends that fall on the oppisite side of the political spectrum, and I love them. Heck I have siblings that fall on the opposite side. It keeps me on my toes, and I love a good debate. If we all thought alike there would be no discussion and hence no progress.
No, actually, it really depends how much time they spend on entertaining vs. being outspoken. If their public persona overwhelms their talent, I won't enjoy their music or movies because I can only see/hear them, not the movie/music. For the record, I think the same thing of Tom Cruise, because every time I see him in a movie, he's Tom Cruise and not whatever character he's trying to portray. It makes the movie less enjoyable to me.
