I would really like to stay at AKV and was viewing the resort on "Live Maps." Some of the views really didn't seem like a savanna. It seemed like a courtyard with a little bit of grass for the animals to roam.

Has anyone had a savanna view and been disappointed? Is it worth the extra points? Thanks for your thoughts:flower3:

We had one of those "courtyard with animals" views last february. It was a small area for sure, but when you're sick and awake at midnight, 1 am, 2:30 am, 3am etc and you look out onto a quiet area with a pair of giraffes "sleeping" not even 70 feet away, it's amazing and totally different than a quiet boardwalk view or view out onto a lake or golf course.

Small? yes. Worth it? Definitely. :thumbsup2

Editing to Add: The area was reasonably landscaped with trees and a water source. It wasn't just grass and dirt.

I've had 4 savannah view studio stays and haven't been disappointed with any of them at all. If you're talking about the sunset savannah, that is the one that we saw the fewest animals, but I agree that it's especially wonderful at night.

Been three times, Arusha view twice and last recent trip was Sunset savanna view despite request for Arusha. That was somewhat of a disappointment simply because you are looking at the construction not far away and can hear it during the day. There were still animals to view and ultimately Sunset will probably be the best savanna once everything is done.
