Has anyone started decorating for Christmas?

Yes i have, i always take Halloween stuff down on November 1 and start with the Christmas stuff. I live in Western NY so i can't wait until after thanksgiving, by then i may have a ton of snow, have to do it now while it is somewhat decent outside.

Yes, of sorts.

We are pre-setting everything now because I will be traveling a lot between now and Christmas (1 week Brazil and 3 weeks in Asia sigh)

Our tradition is to have the inside of the house decorated for Christmas in Thanksgiving and the outside decorations go up the first week in December.

Well, now that you mention it, I might just go ahead and start either this coming weekend or the next one. I'm having surgery on my leg on Nov. 18 so won't be able to do much for at least 2 weeks afterwards.

The morning after Halloween DD came to me and asked when we were going to start decorating for Christmas

The bad thing thing is I had already been fighting the urge.

We used to be very traditional and waited until the weekend after Thanksgiving, OK... I should re-phrase that. DH used to always want to decorate early and I always said we had to wait.

Now we have kind of flipped though.

We did get the outside lights up on Sunday, it was a beautiful day and I would rather DH be up on the roof then than in snow and ice. They won't be turned on until after Thanksgiving though.

DD wants to put a tree up first, but I think we will start small and do the Mickey Village and Princess Village, probably next weekend. After that we will slowly put up some other stuff and then do the last big tree right after Thanksgiving.

I have presents wrapped and hid already too!

I haven't started decorating yet, won't do that until after Thanksgiving. BUT...I do have quite a few gifts purchased and wrapped. I am hoping to get them all finished before Thanksgiving so afterward I can concentrate on decorating the house and baking for Christmas.
