OMG, DH, me and the kids went to see it yesterday and I don't think I have EVER laughed that hard in a movie. Last time I remember laughing like that in the theatre was in Silver Streak, and how old is that movie? Granted, I don't have the most sophisticated taste, I just love silly and light, and this movie was JUST what the doctor ordered. There were parts I was laughing so hard that tears were streaming down my face and I was actually doubled over with laughter. As was the entire audience. You know its a good movie when people are walking out of the movie still laughing and grinning ear to ear. I absolutely LOVE John Travolta, and William H. Macy is now a new favorite. I normally don't care much for Tim Allen, but oh boy was he good in this. If you like laughing over dumb stuff, go see this movie. I give it my highest honors, best movie I have seen this year. :thumbsup2

Really?! We need a movie this weekend, and none seemed appropriate. You are the hero of the day! You just solved a gigantic problem for me! Thanks friend!

DH and I saw it a few weeks ago. I agree - it was absolutely hysterical!! Like you, I haven't laughed that much at a movie in a long time.

William H. Macy & John C. McGinley were awesome.

WE've planned to see this since it came out, the trailers look hysterical but sometimes that's the only funny part. ;) John Travolta has come so far as both a comedic actor and as a person. He actually premiered this movie in Ocala, where he and the family now live at a fly in community called Jumbolair. There was an invitation only dinner thing, I think it raised $15k, he matched the money and donated all to the Lake county tornado victims, said they're his "people" now! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see him as Edna Turnblad in Hairspray! :lmao:

DH and I almost NEVER go to the movies together because I am just "THAT" picky about movies. Well this movie sounds right up my alley - and HIS! Perhaps we can have a "date night" this coming weekend. ::yes::

Thanks for the glowing recommendation!

My parents took my son a few weekends ago and they all LOVED it. My mom was so not into going because, as usual, the reviews weren't good. But she laughted the whole way through and said the whole theater was laughing. I wonder why there's not a lot more "buzz" on this movie?

Yeah the post gave it terrible reviews. Which of course did not deter me fromo going. They rarely like what I like.

DH and I went to see it a few weekends ago when it was a sneak preview, and we loved the movie too! We laughed so much, and the entire threatre was laughing too.

I thought the entire cast did a great job, and William H. Macy is one of my favorites!

the minute I saw this commerical I wanted to see it!! I LOVE Tim Allen and love anything he seems to be in. Being I am on spring break this week, I may just have to go see it!:thumbsup2

Really was a fun movie wasn't it? Did NOT expect what/who happened at the end though.......LOL

One of our favorite parts was the buzzard. :lmao:

So it's okay to take a 7 year old? I'd like to take dd to see it.

My mom, sister and I went to see it a couple weeks ago and laughed so hard! :rotfl: . Now my grandparents and my dad want to go see it, so I think we'll be seeing it a second time Saturday. It's the best movie I've seen in awhile. :thumbsup2

We saw it the Friday night it came out and come away sore from laughing. I was so afraid that the funny parts were just in the trailer but not at all. We thought it was so great and it was great also because it wasn't alot of vulgarity. It was good acting and writing that helped.

Silly, I thought it was pretty kid friendly. There were a few choice words but not many and a couple parts that was adult funny but not vulgar.

Thanks! I hope it's still playing this weekend.

I brought my 8 year old and he loved it. There were a few mature parts that went right over his head. I think its fine for that age, but other parents might be more picky.

It took me a moment to figure out who that was. :lmao:

It's #2 at the box office so it probably will be playing. Our problem in our town is we have one super great new theater, 15 halls, all stadium seating. It gets the "adult" movies, pg13 or higher rating. There is another theater that is now 10 + years old, some are sadium, some are not. It's attached to a younger kids type amusement park and gets 90% of the movies that my family and I wish to see. :( I think we were just as excited to bei nthe "new theater" for Ghost Rider as we were to actually see the movie!:lmao: Guess where Wild Hogs is playing?

:scratchin Hmmm, that coming from the person who has a dirty vocabulary. Shall I trust your judgement or not? What to do? What to do?

Judging by your username, if your DD is anything like you, I'd say go see it. :rotfl:

My DH and I saw this and both of us loved it! The entire theater was laughing the whole time.

Did anyone else crack up each time Tim Allen was talking to John Travolta's character "Woody"? All I could picture was Buzz Lightyear! :rotfl:
