Has anyone seen Tangled? Is it appropriate for a preschooler?

My 3 and 4 year olds loved it. Nothing more violent than 'Lion King' or even 'Aladdin' I'd say. Normal movie.

We saw it this evening with our 23mos ds(saw half then fell asleep), 5.5yo dd and 7.5yo ds and really liked it. Loved the music. It was very much like "Beauty and the Beast". It also felt like classical Disney as opposed to the "The Princess and the Frog" which we disliked highly. We almost walked out of that one. We didn't find "Tangled" any worse than "Beauty and the Beast". We are very conservative in what we let the kids watch. If you let your 3yo dd watch Beauty and the Beast and she was good, then you should be okay.
I actually cried twice, but I'm also about 11 weeks pregnant. :goodvibes

Sounds like my post i was crying and also preggers.. LOL:laughing:

We took dd 8 and ds 4 on opening day. Our theater offered the 2D or the 3D version. DD does not like 3D so we saw the 2D. Both kids sat through it with no problems and nothing scared them. We all enjoyed it.

I took my DNiece who will be 5 in 2 weeks and she loved it. She was laughing so hard people were looking at her:rotfl2:. She said she liked it better than The Princess and the Frog. I noticed that the adults were laughing as much as the kids.

My five year old is really sensitive. His aunt and uncle took him and his 7 y.o. brother to see Tangled yesterday, and they ended up leaving before the end because DS was too scared. It was only showing in 3D, and I think that might have been what did DS in. I wish they'd stuck through it because I think he would have enjoyed it in the end, but how were they to know?!?!?!?!?

My sister took my 4 1/2 year old niece and she loved it! I'm also cautious about what my kids watch but if you've noticed....there's some sort of violence in every Disney movie, it's weird, lol. Someone is always trying to kill or hurt someone. It's fascinating to think that we as parents encourage Disney movies and spend $$$$$$$ to go on Disney vacations and support such violent behavior in our kids movies, lol.
