We were at POR this past April. My DD 9 and DD 14 encountered a duck with most of its top beak (bill) missing. They fed her everyday out of their hand and affectionately named her "lucky ducky." Has anyone seen her lately? She was usually near the food court on a little sand beach area, along the river on the walkway to Alligator Bayou.

Aww- poor duck. I saw on tv once a goose had part of its bill missing and a vet made a prosthetic one for it and screwed it on.

We saw her a lot in Aug. The kids always feed her while waiting for the DD boat. She was with about 5 other ducks and she kind of hung out towards the back of the group, so they really had to toss the food out to her.

They also loved feeding the HUGE turtle that we found right by the dock.

don't mention the turtle....

or WDW will come along put up signs and walls - and you will never be able to see him again.....
