Has anyone ridden Tron in Shanghai?

Is the ride vehicle like FOP? Where your knees need to be bent at more than 90° in order for the mechanism to lock? DH can't ride FOP because of this. If so I want to begin prepping him for the fact that he might not be able to ride Tron either

I'm kind of over these types of rides. I think they did a much better job with Cosmic Rewind. The new attractions should appeal to most body sizes versus something like this. I'm not just talking about weight either. I fit fine on FOP, but I'm tall and I find the entire ride vehicle very awkward and uncomfortable. And I will never ride Mine Train again because it's a knee crusher.

Aw man, that stinks...it's a 'no-go' for DH on that ride Thanks for sharing the video, though. Due to an auto accident his right knee doesn't even bend to 90 so this along with SDMT and FOP are out for him

Never been to the other Disney international locations. Doesn't MK in Florida have a LOT more park goers then their international parks? If Tron is a carbon copy, won't there be a throughput issue due to the higher MK park attendance? Waiting to see how that goes once it opens.

From what I understand it's a very quick ride, like around 2 minutes. And yes, Magic Kingdom is the most visited theme park in the entire world with over 12 million visitors per year.

When we rode it in Shanghai we wondered how it would work in Florida because we could not see the typical American being able to quickly load on to the ride

I am fortunate to have been the Shanghai Disney Resort twice. I think this a great ride...I am 6'1" 230lb and had no problem size wise for the standard vehicle seats. You do indeed need to be able to bend your knees; it's similar to Flight of the Passage but you really are "straddling" a bike and leaning forward.

However, there was at least one train in operation in Shanghai where the back two seats were real "seats" allowing some disabled riders to enjoy the ride in a traditional roller coaster seating situation (and in fact, these looked to be more spacious seats than say Space Mountain at Disneyland).

I've ridden Tron in Shanghai and I don't recall having to bend my knees more than 90 degrees.

DAS isn’t for mobility related concerns. When a DAS holder returns to ride (through the lightning lane for most attractions) you wouldn’t know if they have DAS or not unless you’re the CM monitoring the first tap point.

It's pretty much a carbon copy of Shanghai... which is listed at about 1,700. That's more than Slinky Dog, but less than Rock n'.

One big benefit of it being a copy... they should have worked out any bugs or issues that some of the "new" attractions like RISE seems to be prone too, even long after opening. Which would greatly improving overall daily numbers.

Being a clone... you can watch the video's from the existing ride.

Yes, it's a copy. But there are bound to be differences simply because of construction tolerances and environmental effects. Hopefully they can work that out quickly.
