Has anyone received their marathon packet yet?

I sent an email about not receiving my packet yet and this was the response. Hopefully I will be getting my soon.


The packets are still being sent out. There was a delay on our end getting them out in time. If you still do not receive yours within the next few weeks, please send an email to emmi2@emmi.com with your information and they will send out a new one to you.

Okay, now I'm getting scared! Not only have I not received my packet, but I didn't receive the confirmation sheet geetey spoke of either!

I also just recently found out I was supposed to have been getting emails?? None of those, either!

They sure took my money, though! I registered way back in January (or was it March?) when registration first opened!!

Anybody know who I should email about this???

Yes, the e-mail address listed in the previous post. My travel friend has never received any of the e-mails either....I've been forwarding them to her, but I do have a confirmation number for her from when we registered.

The confirmation sheet I am talking about is the registration confirmation. I printed it off the computer after registering. It starts with...

Thank you for registering for the 2005 WALT DISNEY WORLD Half Marathon This is your registration receipt. Please note that this charge will appear on your credit card statement as signmeup.com. Keep this page for your records. It goes on to state the confirmation number, registration date, subtotal, processing fee, total payment, user name.

Look for something like that, not something you would have received in the mail. You would have printed it off the computer after payment.

I am SO excited!! I got my packet in the mail today!! I don't know how on earth I am going to finish this blasted marathon in the alloted time, but I am SO happy to get my packet!

Nothing here, yet....and no email EITHER! I'll keep looking! 8 weeks from now it will be ALL over. and we can head to the parks to celebrate our starting the half/marathon! YEAH!!!

Did get it the other day - Friday. I actually saw Molli's and somehow after I saw it, I was just like "okay" when it gets her- that will be okay. I was expecting "more" so I am really glad that I was looking for it and didn't throw it out with the junk stuff!

BUT, I say make a copy of the paper (we are to take to swap for the official number) and leave it with someone who can fax it to you if there is any kind of problem! I am going to make "several" and stash them everywhere (carry on - with my shoes - in my suitcase) yes Molli I know you are saying - ah yes - that would be my DM but I just don't want to get there and not have it!

Cheryl - thanks for the ibubropen info - I take naproxin and wondered if it has same reaction - I have dr appt thought I would ask him when I go.

Oh shoot there was another question I wanted to comment on and now I forgot what it was - gotta go re-read last week's.

I remember -

It was about chip time while the event is happening. My DH and I have tried to track friends several different times and never have had any success - so I say don't count on it. Also, chip time and clock time will be different since chip time starts when one crosses the start line.

My understanding is that the numbers are associated with corral placement which was based on your estimated finishing time--what your number means as far as which corral, I don't know...I wonder if that is how they are sending the packets out.

What did you put down as your estimated finish time (for full or half?)?

I'm with Leukemia Team in Training--our slots were held for us, but I wasn't "officially" registered until last week--have no idea when I'll get my packet

I think I registered within the first 12 hours of registration opening up! But I put my time as 3:30.....so I'm in the last corral, just figured that they assigned numbers that way too.

I think I'll start getting up VERY early for my Saturday morning distance walks....might as well try and start a pattern...of course, I'll be walking in the pitch dark Maybe I should putter around the house for a while first. At the marathon we'll be awake a good three hours before the race starts.

Jackie- that 3 hours early is just about killing me! i just ahve this awful feeling by the time we start, I'll want to lay down and take a nap! I want to get there as early as we can that morning so we can be in the FRONT of the last group.... as far away from the sweeper as humanly possible for our group!

I emailed and got a response the same day. I didn't realize I hadn't changed my address with them and they said that since they were shipped bulk mail that it wouldn't be forwarded. They also said that all packets had been shipped out and anyone who contacted them would be researched and then reshipped sometime the end of Nov. or early Dec. So my advice would be to email the address below and check on your status. Good luck!

Mine was waiting for me when I got home from Disney on the weekend. I'm number 23008. My three sisters and I are all in a row. It looks like 23000's will be the last corral. We'll just have to have our own party while we wait for the race to start. I'll bring the power bars and some blankets to sit on. Anyone else????
