Has anyone rec'd their IRS check earlier than expected?

Wishful thinking, huh? Ours is scheduled to be mailed on 8/8 and of course we leave for WDW on 8/9. I'm just wondering by some slight chance if any go out sooner than expected. I certainly won't count on it, though.

We recieved a letter in the mail on Friday stating that we would have our check in the mail in two weeks....We recieved the check in the mail on Tuesday, alot sooner than i expected....

Besides a letter is there any other way to find out when the refunds are due. I haven't gotten a letter

You can go to www.irs.gov
there, you can follow the links... you need to know your ss#, filing status on your 02 return, and # of dependents...
it will give you the date it is supposed to be mailed...
Mine also said it will be mailed the 8th... hoping for sooner!
We leave the 28th... so i am keeping my fingers crossed... but if it doesnt come by then, I'll use it to help with some new furniture! LOL@

I've heard of one family that got their check on the day it was supposed to be mailed out. We got our letter on that day and our check 3 days later. Hope you get yours early!

Mine was supposedly mailed Aug 1 and I recieved it on Aug 4 not to bad...

Ohhhhh! Watch it come the day after we leave with my luck I'm not figuring it into our budget but it sure would be nice to have rather than having to take money from elsewhere. Well, I've got 4 more days to go. Thanks for the info!

We actually received our check 3 days BEFORE the letter telling when it would be mailed! I bet yours will make it there before you leave on vacation!

Most of the people I know received their checks 1 day after the mailed date they were given. The web site will let you know when it will be mailed. It went by the last 2 digits of your ss# the lower digits received theirs the 1st week ,the mailings were 7/25,8/1 and 8/8.

Now that's positive thinkin Thanks for all your encouragement everyone. Of course I'm not counting on it, but it sure would be nice. I'll let you know if I get it, K? Either way, we leave in 3 days!

We got ours together LOL I went to the site and it said I was getting mine sometime after the 10th. I got the letter and the check on the 3rd
have a GREAT TRIP !

Just a suggestion, but do you have a family member you can trust? Or a really good friend? Have them check your mail, if your mail is not being held, then leave a deposit slip with the amount of your IRS check and have them deposit it for you!!!
We aren't going to WDW this weekend but on another vacation and I'm having my sister do the deposit for me. Then she will call once the deposit will be made.

Or you can use the money for your next disney trip!!!
