I bought it today at Costco and I think it sounds good...hoping its as good as the last SK book I read...Duma Key (which I thought was GREAT)....and the one before that was Bag of Bones (it was ok...)

Hopefully its worth the read....1000 pages...MY kind of book:thumbsup2

no spoilers please;)

I read it. It was good. I love Stephen King and I'd have to say it was one of the better of his more recent works (but I really enjoyed The Cell). It's one of his longer, character-centric stories (which he does so well).

that sounds good to me...I am hoping it isn't too graphic or bloody...just don't like that anymore....am I ok there?

Wellllll... it IS Stephen King... so, yes, it's pretty graphic in parts. There are some scenes that I was glad I was reading and not seeing. But I don't recall it being as gory as some of his earlier work.

I guess some of it could be glossed over if you found it hard to take. Not a lot of it is important to the overall storyline.

I read it a while back. Yeah it's ok - there are only a couple of graphic (blood and gore) parts. If you liked Duma Key you should like it.

I read it and it was the best SK I have read in a long time. I really really enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed it. It did take me awhile to read though lol.

I am in the middle of reading it right now. There are some gory parts but nothing to make you feel it is excessive. It is a typical Stephen King book- tons of characters and very wordy but a very good story.

Bought "Under the Dome" the day it was released. I was hoping for another "The Stand" (one of my top 10 favorite books), but was disappointed in the ending.

If you dislike graphic violence, don't read "Gerald's Game". :scared1: ;)

For the most part I enjoyed it. I thought the ending was a bit of a let down. It is a bit graphic in parts, but a good, suspensful book.

I read it in 4 days. Could not put it down.

I loved it.. I listened to it on Audio book. Talk about a long book.

I agree completely. Loved the book, didn't care so much for the ending.

I'm another that was disappointed with the ending. You'll have to let us know what you think when you finish.

Without giving anything away, I just kind of felt like he ran out of ideas on how to wrap it up and just grabbed the first idea that came to mind!

Like a PP, I read it in 4 days. Really liked it, but the ending did disappoint. I felt the same way with the book "It". It seemed like he was on a deadline and had to wrap things up quickly, but I did enjoy the story.

I guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow now. I find that when I am reading the book I am totally into it but when I'm not I can always find something else to do instead of read it. This has never happened to me before. I've had in since Christmas and I'm only 2/3 done. Weird.
