Has anyone named their DD's and DS's after Disney characters????

Not me, but my SIL let their 4 year old DD name their baby Ariel (in 1991) after her favorite movie.

OMG! I by luck clicked on this post. I must say she was given that name before Pooh was considered a Disney character.
There is a litte story to this. Myself and DH (now exDH) were going down the road going through girls names and I had gone through all the ones I like (read Many names here) . Jokingly (because I have alway been a Pooh fan) Why don't we just name her Kristina Robyn . He liked it so did I so it stuck.
I thought she would one day hate her name but for some reason kids tend to forget about Christopher Robin being in the stories and no one teases her. She is 11yr old now (almost 12 in Dec) and she loves her name!! The only complain she has ever give me about it is the Robyn with the Y , she would rather have it with the I . LOL
She is a Disney nut as well ! :teeth:

My daughters name is Jazmin. Not because of Disney just cause we liked the name. She didn't beleive me when I told her about princess Jasmine. She didn't think there could be two Jazmin's.

DS is Stefan. We didn't deliberately pick it because of Princess Aurora's dad...although that's how I first remember hearing the name...it's just happened to be a good German boys name that fit.

No but I did name my DD after a girl in a TV show...my DD name is Kennedy...anyone know the name of the show? (It's not MTV).

Well one of my DD is named JESSIE and we have a cat named Touchstone (after the Disney owned movie company) and a dog named Jasmine.

I haven't but my best friend's younger twin brother and sister are named Mickey and Minnie. No Joke.

:) Have Fun!

but our two dogs are named from Disney names.

One is "Tink" and the other dog is "Belle".

I was thinking about it but I thought it was more important to put some kind of family name in our childrens names. But all of our pets have Disney names...
Piglet- dog
Turk-cat
George (from George of the Jungle because he always is running into the walls)
Pooh, Hercules,Lilo, Stich, Iogo, Pocohantis, Tarzan, are all of my DD fish. Which she named all by herself. And she's only 2.

We used to have a sweet white kitten named Duchess. My DD is a HUGE Aristocats fan.

Last year I had a student named Timon.....and yes, his brother (who was 4 at the time) named him! One of the sweetest kids I had in class that year (no joke)

I am just smiling thinking of some poor sould who surfs onto this site and sees how nuts we all are for Disney. We all need help. Seriously. :)

We were a little more suttle, not naming our DD after a disney character but "Sidney" instead. If your rearrange the letters you get "Disney". She has the letters of her name on a shelf in her room and any time we are in the midst of planning a disney trip we we just rearrange a bit!

I have a black and white cocker spaniel named Mickey! When I made his grooming appointment the other day she asked me how to spell his name and I sang her THE song!!

Not one of the kids is named after disney...but most of all our pets have been...

O'Malley & Dutchess cats
Simba & Nala cats
Rajah & Jasmine (Jazzy for short) cats

not to leave out the dogs...
we've had Tinkerbell a 180 lb Mastiff Pixie Dust followed (now at 3 yrs & 180 lbs!) we call her Pixie!
WE now have Mickey's Magic ( a 9 moonth old Newfoundland)
and an 8 month old rottie pup...Aurora

We've had Belle the guinea pig, Happy the dawrf hamster, we have Chip the chinchilla...I think the list goes on but you get the idea!

DOUBLE OMG!!!

I've not been on the DIS boards for a few days - and i come back, and gosh! so many replies to this thread!

My red haired niece is named Ariel. She was supposed to be a boy...Mickey. Totally serious....and my sister is not a Disney fan..just luck of the draw!
Ariel - just one of many of you who replied (BTW)
Yes, i really like this.

And DNS DISNEY had it not been for you, i would not have done this thread, so its kinda owed to you:D :D .

By the way, i think the spelling of Robyn that you have - makes it sound feminine. i know other girls with this spelling too!!

But a little girl (about 8 or 9) was visiting some neighbors of mine and came over. "What's your name?" she said. I told her and then asked what her name was. She mumbled something and I said "Kayla?"

She said "No, FANTASIA!" Fantasia?!

That's just a bit much, if you ask me.

I actually think fantasia is a sweet name for a little girl:)
