Has anyone had the MK photo shoot with the new Castle deco?

We don't get to pick any of the 12?

Probably not - we're having an intimate and I hear they pick the 12 photos for you there too.

Do we get a Master CD or just the proofs?

Can you slide the 12 that they have picked in and out of the folio and replace them with other proofs or are they "stuck" there? That seems pretty rotten that they would choose the pics!!! I'll have to email my EM about this one!

The photographer will decide which pictures to put on the folio. However, you can change the pictures if you want. According to the information DPS sent with the proofs, you can purchase a low-resolution CD for $75.
We had the MK session for our VR with the new castle background. It's all a matter of taste and preferance, so weigh the pros/cons. At first, we were about to cancel the session, but now I'm glad we didn't. Of course, we were pretty neutral about the new decor. I guess it's a nice memento of DL 50th anniversary celebration, and our VR! :)

Take into account that our session was scheduled during an early entry day, and the pictures were taken at 5:30 am. Excluding the mirror, you can hardly see the other decorations. Also, the images on the site are very blurry, and do not show the end product. The images are much sharper.

For the MK session (NOT intimate photo package, since I have no clue how those work), YES, you can remove the proofs from the floio. It's just a photo album. No one get worked up that they choose 12 and that's it. You WILL get the exact same quality of proof for EVERY photo they take during the shoot.

Below are how your photos come:

On the side of one of the photos, you can see the edge of a gold box. The rest of your proofs are in there. ALL are the same quality and removable from the folio.

Fantastic Kristen - thanks for showing your album - I'm glad we can swap the photos if we want - although I'm sure DPS are professional enough to choose 12 good ones anyway. ooooo I'm soo excited about our trip to the castle :0)

Jessica - your photos are gorgeous, your dress is so long! I love how it's dark and then light in the photos you get such different effects with the coloured lights on the castle. i didn't even think about early entry days but stephanie said we have to meet the photographer at 6am so i assume I missed the early entry by sheer luck!

I'm glad you warned about the image quality as I have been quite worried about that as I've looked at photo albums from this site.

Thanks for sharing

RJ

Thanks for the compliments! The train does look longer on the pictures (maybe the angle of the length) :) , but still, it was long.

I was told the same until the night before the session. Our photographer was the one who called us on our mobile (we were driving on I-4) the night before. But if you like those castle shots, ask DPS and see what they suggest. It never hurts to ask! Maybe you can start the session just before sunrise.

Jessica,

Your pictures are so gorgeous. I wish I could get married at Disneyworld now instead of Kansas. Yee-haw! At least I get to honeymoon at Disney.

BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!
Did you get to choose where you wanted to stand? Or did the photographer tell you where and how to pose? Cinderella's wishing well is a great idea! Did you special request that? Thank again! :teeth:

We had an amazing and very creative photographer. He called the shots (Cinderellabration stage, wishing well). The only thing we told him was we wanted to use the bride and groom ears for the balcony pictures. He came up with the wishing well idea since we didn't care much about the carousel. He guided us through the poses, and was open to suggestions. I guess it all depends on the photographer. Some will adhere to the rules, but others will bend them a little! ;)

VowRenewal05Bride did you use the Disney photographer or outside photographer?

You cannot use an outside photographer for an MK session, it is a DPS exclusive
