has anyone got thru to ms today

Maybe I was lucky but I was able to secure a Boardwalk View studio from December 24th-January 2nd. I am so thrilled since it will be my first time with a Boardwalk View (It was time they changed the policy regarding the views in BWV). Why are some members waitlisted for a Boardwalk View room?

I have been in WDW twice for the holidays and loved it. Tue...one of the ocassions was a madhouse, but to be honest, last october, it was just as bad, if not worse. On the other hand, on December, 2001, it was not really that crowded.

I only hope the weather is not so chilly. I remember one time seating in the sidewalk at MK, waiting for a parade with a sweater and a jacket on, gloves and a cup of hot chocolate, and still freezing my butt off.

Had no problem getting through to MS this afternoon (2pm here 9am there) and finalising our first trip home for the New Year celebrations. We now have a BWV 2 bedroom standard view from 28/12 to 2/1. I had an option on some British Airways flights, so my next call was to confirm those. The anticipation is almost palpable.
Now the only questions are where to eat.

Are any of you BWV'ers planning on putting lights out on your balcony? Does Disney decorate all of the BW view balconies?

Thanks! ;)

We booked 3 days (Dec 28-29-30) at OKW(2BR) while we are down in West Palm Beach for x-mas visiting my sister. Called at 9;00 am and got through in about 2 minutes.

We are just going up to see all the x-mas decorations

Maria:

I called on the 26th the first time and then called day by day until I finalized it yesterday.

Wow...those Boardwalk views really go fast. ANyone knows how many BW view studios are there?

At the Boardwalk, the following are in the Preferred-BoardWalk category:
  • 8 Dedicated Studio Units
  • 8 Dedicated One-Bedroom Villas
  • 20 Lockoff Two Bedroom Villas
  • 7 Three Bedroom Grand Villas

No wonder!!! Guess I got lucky to get a Baordwalk View Studio , although it was expensive point-wide for that time of the year. (43 points for Friday and Saturday, ouch!!!).

Thanks California Dreaming. Only one more question: What is a "dedicated" studio?

A dedicated studio does not connect to a one bedroom - these used to be refered to as "studio plus" units, as they have a child size daybed in addition to the standard studio amenities. :) Now, they could possbily have a total of 28 studios if there are no 2BR booked, since 20 units are lockoff studio/1BR combos. :)

BTW, I know what you mean about points! 43 for a studio doesn't seem too bad compared to our 106 for a 2BR! LOL

Would my 158 for a Grand Villa make you feel any better?;)

OUCH! :faint:

They aren't giving away those GV rooms, are they?
