Has anyone got their summer 2005 quote from DU yet???

I know it has only been an hour. Just wondering if they will take care of all their ressies with DCL and THEN e-mail all of us fanatics, OR if they will send out the e-mails as the ressies are made??

I wonder if they have to sit on hold with DCL, like all of us "regular" folks do??

I haven't had a response yet - trying to decide whether to phone someone and book it or be patient!! Not easy. My husband is convinced all the cat 6s on the CA - FL cruise will be booked, but i am sure we will be ok!

I'm just hoping we don't pay more b/c we waited. I've been watching the price of the FL-CA cruise on DCL and for a Cat. 6/2 adults, 2 kids, the price has goon up over $300 as I've been waiting. I better go do something else for a while.

Still waiting. I think I made a mistake booking with DU. Surely they must know by now what they were able to reserve. Very disappointed. I should have tried myself and it would have been done.

Got an e mail from Dreams this morning saying it might be several hours after booking commenced that they got their e-mails out to people confirming what thye had reserved. I'm hoping that they've has all TAs busy making ressies and when they've got through a good number some of them might begin sorting out the e-mails. Not lost hope yet.

I wouldn't go into panic mode yet. DU always seem to come through. They had a plan- I suspect none of us will be disappointed once we see what they send us. Keep your chin up- the info we all seek will be here before you know!

I think my mistake was in how I asked for a quote; too wishy-washy. I have an existing reservation and told Tammy all along I'd be looking to transfer it to a West Coast Cruise. But until I saw the numbers & dates, I wasn't clear on which one we wanted. We definitely want the FL-CA, but I asked for quotes on others to check prices, as well as sent an email asking them to add our in-laws to our quote as well. I should have been more decisive, and it's probably going to slow our quote down. Hind sight is 20-20. I'll just wait not so patiently.

Don't give up hope yet. My TA told me that DCL was not allowing TA's to hold blocks of cabins. It was first come first serve. So TAs will have to make the individual reservations for each party like everyone else. It will definitely take some time for them to get everyone taken care of.

Ive seen people post that prices have JUMPED on the DCL web-site--I just hope DU was able to get us the Early Booking prices........like someone else said--I hope they had a spread-sheet type thing ready to get us all what we asked for. Because if not--we'll be kicking ourselves for not calling DCL directly. But I have faith in them still (always been AWESOME) and will continue to unless I hear otherwise!!! Let's keep our fingers crossed.....

I just got my quote from DU for the 5/28 cruise. Their quote was $4,250.32 for a cat 10 without transfers or insurance. I booked the cruise on the DCL website earlier today and got a cat 9 with transfers for $3,764.74. I guess I will stick with my DCL res for now and see if I can get a better rate when I am on the Wonder the end of May.

I wrote my DU agent asking where my quotes are and received automated response that she is no longer there. Turns out she is there so hopefully I will get my quotes.

I received my quote at 3:30 and found it in my inbox when I returned home a few minutes ago-and immediately reserved it. We're booked on the 14 day CA-FL Eastern Panama Cruise 8/20/5 -9/3/5 in Cat. 7. Actually the same cabin we had when we last sailed. I'm unbelievably excited!!

Our TA at Costco just called (from a 10:00am PST call to her earlier) and told us that TAs have to call in just like everyone else. Maybe DU has a different arrangement with DCL, this was just her experience with Costco and one other agency. She quoted us the wrong category and said it would probably not be until tomorrow before she could get back to us.

Well, Now the FL-CA is $680 up from the first available quote. I'm still holding out for the DU quote, but if it's up $1000, I may just skip it and kick myself for not calling in myself. I won't blame DU. My original request should have been more specific, and I should have known better to have a back up plan.
