Has anyone got their summer 2005 quote from DU yet???

That annoys me because I put in a request when they initially said they were taking early requests.

:D Moocow35, Hi, I am Jazzman's wife. Our quote info:

Cat 6 and Cat 11, 3 adults 1 child (age 16), $8503.54 (with taxes and port charges, no air or insurance), that includes an early booking savings of $ 3540.00!!!!!

We e-mailed Dreams on 4/25 at about 2 PM. So if they are doing the quotes based on the order they came in, that should hopefully help you figure out when you will hear.

Let me know if you want any other info from our quote!

Gosh... we put in a request when we first got word from DU about the CA cruises. Merrie sent a note back, but no quote yet... we're hoping for a CAT6 for the May 14th FL to CA cruise... I didn't realize DCL was opening up reservations today.

Guess I just have to wait patiently and hope things aren't sold out.

The bummer is that I asked DVC if I could use points for the 14 day. They said yes, but I would have to wait until June to put my request in (11 months out). How fair is that... just because you're using points. You pay for your vacation up front, and you don't get a fair chance of getting a reservation.

Patience, patience.

Congratulations to all who got their quotes!!!

Just got my quote from DU and Magicforless for the 14 FL to CA for a Cat 4. DU was $8829 for 2 adults and a 14 yr old and Magicforless was 9350. DU gave a $200 rebate so the final cost would be $8629. Du also has us waitlisted for a cat 3. DH isn't hrilled since our first cruise is in August and he isn't sure he will like it. He also isn't thrilled with the price but it's once in a life time thing, right??? I don't know if this is a good price or not......

Decisions....Decisions

I'm still waiting for my DU quote.
The e-mail I got yesterday did ask for 24 hours from the time reservations opened up to get a quote back before sending them an e-mail.

Guess I'll check again in the morning.

Hi Denise!

Thanks for answering back. I emailed them a quote on 4/24, so unfortunately that blows that theory. Sounds like they did get in earlier enough for early booking. Hopefully for the rest of us also. Still waiting...............

JC Butterfly:

Just curious. You said you got June 4th sailing in a Cat 6 for $4,265. I just got my quote from DU for that sailing for 2 adults/2 small children in a Category 8 for $5,300 (that is with the rebate). Is your quote for only two people?? I would hope so or I am REALLY in shock at the price difference

And I'm thrilled at the price!

4500 for a category 11 for the 14 day repositioning cruise! THis is for 4 people! I can't believe it is so cheap!

I really would like to hear something!

Are we bumped or out-priced because of our tunnel-vision
loyalty? I had to WORK today, couldn't be on the phone
or website for hours. How many of the duplicate reservations
are causing the prices to increase for everyone else?

Just frustrated beyond belief!

I emailed DU last week and then resent them an email with Urgent and my reservation number on it with changes (I wanted four staterooms instead of one). I hadn't heard from them, so yesterday I also contacted SWV and yesterday I received an email from Beth and then today while I was actually on the phone with DCL making my own ressies, Beth called me and had booked rooms for me. I will probably be rolling over my DCL ressie to Beth who took the time to call me and give me information.

At 6 p.m. EST today, I finally got an email from DU, she had made my ressie, but not the one with the four rooms instead of one. Her email said that she couldn't get me four rooms together and that prices had gone up but to let her know what to do. I emailed her back and told her I had taken care of it myself and had four staterooms together so she didn't need to do any follow up. If I roll over my ressie it will go to SWV and not DU.

I understand how Umterps feels..me too (and by the way my husband is amajor terps fan)...some people have caused the price to increase and it probably won't come down. It bugged me when I finally got on line after 7pm

DU must be working late... We just got our quote for the repositioning FL to CA cruise. Cat 6 for 2 adults... 5721.00. I'm thinking we should have asked for a lower priced category, but my DH always prefers the verandah, even though it's pricey! I'm hoping that price is with any Castaway Club discount.

Hope everyone who's waiting hears something soon.

We have til 5/9 til reply. a lot on $... maybe we'll just hold it with a deposit and really talk about it instead of rushing into it... oh my... what to do!

Sure would like to use our DVC points... then it would be a for sure thing!

I'm getting a little annoyed. They should do a better job of keeping us informed as to what is happening.

Just got mine! Cat 6 - 2 adults - $5381 with the $200 DU rebate. Got the room we requested!

Finally got my quote....$7888 for 2 adults 2 children in a cat. 6.....not TOO happy with the price, but seeing as how it has gone up EVEN more.....we just may keep it. What are the chances of getting a lower cabin cat. at the same level of discount as the cabin we currently have??

I wish there was some way to have tracked those who had multiple reservations so that the price didn't jump so drastically so quickly....but not much can be done about it now!!!

decisions decisions!!!

OK....just for the heck of it I checked what the 7 day magic sailing in August of 2004 would cost for our family in a cat. 6 & it is almost the same exact price as I was quoted for a 14 day repo!! I guess we will take it!!! Heck....once they realize how many double bookings there were the price will dip back down for a second!! MAYBE....hey...a girl can dream can't she???

Don't give up hope on Dreams...

I had sent in my request a week or so ago. Today, I checked the DCL site at 4:00 eastern time for a cat 6 - 2 adults, 2 children it was $8983. When, I went to book at 7:00, cat 6 was SOLD OUT! The DCL rep would not even take a a Cat 6 GTY for me! I couldnt' believe it. And, the Cat 5 had gone up in price over $450 (I think) Well, I was bummed and booked a Cat 5 anyway. DCL couldn't get me in First Seating, either.

But, the good news . . . I just got my email from Dreams -- they got me a Cat 6 GTY for the price that was posted EARLY. They got me a Cat 6 for the pricing that I saw on the DCL site at 4:00 pm -- even though it is GONE now. And, Dreams has me in Early Seating.

So, Now, I just have to figure out if I can get the 10% discount and switch over!

I am very excited.

Is there any reason I should be upset about getting a gty status?

sandra...we also got a cat. 6 gty....not bad at all...means you DEFINITELY get a cat. 6...with the possiblity of being upgraded to a cat. 5 or higher!!

I hope you don't mind if I ask what price you were quoted by DU...as we also have 2 adults & 2 kids.....??

markmyboy . . . Yes, I just read your pricing.

I have 2 adults, DS9 and DD6. What ages are your children?

Are you on the FL / CA May 14? How did your pricing for a cat 6 be $1,095 LESS?

My price from Dreams for the 2 adults, DS9 and DD6 in a cat 6 was $8,935 less $200 = $8,735.

What was your pricing?
