Has Anyone Got Parking fees reduced at resort

Just wondering if anyone has ever had the parking fees reduced at onsite resorts i.e RPR. i am booked for 2 weeks and if i get the car ,could i get the parking reduced,if i could i might stay there for the 3 weeks instead of going to Clearwater for the first 7 days, any information welcomed

I've never had them reduced at HRH, but something to be on the lookout for: You can have one charge for valet and another for self-park. Every time we've ever gone, we opt for the less-expensive self-park option, and they always charge us for valet. Let them know when you check in and out that you are self-parking and do not want to pay for valet.

On our first stay at the Hard Rock in 2001 we were on a Virgin Holidays package. The hotel was only a few months old and they still had a lot of teething problems. Car parking at the time was around $5.00 per night. When they mentioned the cark parking fee, I said the tour operator (Virgin) didn't mention the car park fee, so they comped it.

I have stayed at the rpr several times and always ask that the parking fee be wavied and have been lucky enough to have it done. last may we stayed at the hrh and ask that the parking fee be wavied , the girl at check in
said she would see what could be done and well we paid that time, going
back to the rpr in oct. and will request free parking again.

never hurts to ask.

thanks tricky1, will ask when we are there next year, might call reservations and see what they say, as i could stay longer if i was not charged for parking

We just got back from our stay at RP and weren't charged parking at all. We've stayed here every year since their opening and this is the first time we haven't been charged. Our son and daughter-in-law, who arrived a day before us were charged for three days parking but they had the charges removed since they had a rental and it was returned on the first day. When did they raise the parking fees to $12.00 per day? I'm sure it was only $6.00 last year.

Parking is $12 per DAY!?! You've got to be freaking kidding me!

The last couple of years, they've completely forgotten to charge us. Lucky, I know...but still. I refuse to pay $12 per day.

It's a matter of principle. Hahaha! (Like, what am I going to do? Park for free in the deck after 7pm and lug my bags across Citywalk to the HRH?)

When we checked in we were asked if we had a car and if we would be self parking or using valet. We were not charged for parking. My son and his wife had a rental and they were charged $12.00 per day. They had the charges removed since they returned the rental on the first day. Not sure if that is the regular fee or it was a misunderstanding and they thought they were using the valet parking...but $12.00 is a lot of $$. I also noticed they didn't give you a parking sticker for your car this year.

I found parking fee info on Universals site (click on any of the 3 hotels, then on "more information"), but not on Loews. Kinda strange. Valet is $18 per day and self is $12 per day as Amyrlin stated. I do remember that parking info was included in the reservation confirmation emails that I received from RPR & HRH. I remember when self-parking was $6 instead of the $12 it is now...those were the days. *sigh*
