Thank you all soooo much for your replies!!! We have ID bracelets (whos shoes id's) and I am going to take a picture of them with my digital camera each morning. We also will have them in bright colored clothing and they will know to go to a cm if they get lost. They are really good kids and they don't really ever run off or wander. We are concerned about them wandering only because it will be their first time to WDW and they are going to be on sensory overload!! I am an adult and I get so "caught up" in the magic sometimes that I don't pay attention to my surroundings.

I am sure everything will be fine but we are taking precautions to prevent any incidents.

Just wanted to add a couple more ideas I've read on the boards.

Someone recently suggested that instead of finding a cast member, tell the children to find a mother with a stroller. Then they can help the child an appropriate cast member and you won't have to worry about them understanding cast vs. guest badges, etc.

Also, someone had suggested that rather than drilling into them that they need to stay where you can see them, drill into them that they need to stay where they can see you. It's a more concrete concept for them to grasp.

Finally, last time I was in WDW, I came across a small boy running in frantic circles around the clothes and other souvie racks outside POTC. I stopped him and asked if he needed help and he started crying and said he couldn't find his mother. Without touching him, I gently asked him to follow me and told him that he could always find someone to help him who is standing behind a cash register (they're everywhere!). When I told the clerk he was separated from his mother, she dropped everything, came around the counter, came down to his size and said "Oh, no. Did your mom get lost?" Laughter through tears. It was beautiful.

I know a lot of people design their own t-shirts for disney trips...i think the thread is on this board. you could always put your number on there in case someone gets lost!
