Has anyone ever tried Capone's....?

We've been to WDW several times, and have considered doing a combo driving trip from D.C/WDW trip for 2016.

Since we fly in from California, we've always just used DME, but if we did the driving trip we would be able to explore a little more.

We enjoy kind of tacky, touristy places for the kitsch factor and one of the places we've found it Capone's in Orlando.

Outside of the fact that I think one of the Pod Squad used to work there, I know nothing about it. I've read mixed reviews on the internet, but I thought I'd throw it out to the DIS Boards and see if anyone out there has had any experience with this place.

If you like tacky and touristy, you should like it, b/c that's exactly what it is...we went a few years ago (I think 2-3 now) and it was a fun evening out - we went in with pretty lowish expectations and the place met them. They didn't get stingy with drinks (they totally kept our cups filled) or food (although there could be lots of improvement on the taste) or low brow humor and they had a few nice musical and humor skits. Is it Hoop De Doo? Nope. Can it be a fun, cheapish evening if you go in with the right attitude - yup! Avoid all the extras and just enjoy it as it is...

If you hated tacky, you'd hate this - it has tourist trap written all over it, in all good ways and bad!

It's fun for a tacky evening out. Our teens thought it was fun!

Yeah...definitely tacky, but still enjoyable. I went as a kid (probably about 12?) after reading "Al Capone Does my Shirts" and thought it was just the best ever, but my parents agree that it was fun but tacky.

Orlando tends to have tons of discounts for dinner shows too. Make sure you look into it. Paying full price for it isn't worth it when finding discounts should be simple!

It's not the most "Italian" Italian or the best American favorites, but it's serviceable for a buffet...http://www.alcapones.com/menu.php - you'll also see the beverages here - I think I had the Rum Runners, which while not amazing, were very plentiful (and may have made the food enter serviceable territory...

Thanks for the link! Sounds like a potentially fun & entertaining evening. Also, my hubby would love the fact that beer is included lol!

if you go in expecting it for what it is a campy tourist show its not bad.
