Hi,
We stayed there in the fall about 4 years ago. There is the main building that is historic and then separate, villa - like rooms along the lake where we stayed. It had a kitchen, living room, balcony, separate bedroom and bathroom. The units are not as nice as
dvc - the bathroom was nice - but they are rather plain. Clean, but nothing spectacular. I would like to go back in summer when everything is open. There wasn't much going on in the fall either at the resort or in town. Bolton Landing is cute - you can walk there from the resort - and then the larger town has lots of touristy things like mini golf and little water parks. The lake looks fun for swimming. The area is beautiful. We stayed 4 nights there, then drove up through Vermont to Ben and Jerry's and then to Lake Placid and stayed at Mirror Lake Inn which we LOVED.
At the time, DVC charged summer rates into October - so I absolutely don't think it is a good use of points in the fall since half the resort is not useful - but in summer I think it would be great.
Have a great time if you go!
