Has Anyone Ever Seen A Celebrity In Wdw

Not a personal sighting, but a friend of mine and his family saw John Travolta while having dinner at CRT. Apparently the CMs told everyone not to approach him, but that he would come around and say hi to everyone. I guess he did that because it is a pretty small place and he figured it was easier than people disrupting his meal.

I have seen Lawrence Taylor at Downtown Disney going into the house of blues.(1998)

I also saw Ivan Rodriguez with a group of about 20 people (most of whom appeared to be family) leaving test track.(2002)

We also saw the tow kids from Boy Meets World, Ryder Strong and Ben Savage (I think those were their names) at in front of Mexico and the later at MGM on at the Great Movie Ride. (1996 I think)

He is a cutie. I've never watched American Idol. My mom does and she had me go with her when Taylor Hicks came to town because she just loves him. She knew my dad wouldn't go with her, so she took me.

In Nov 2006 we saw Steven Tyler of Aerosmith in AK.
Now THAT's the celebrity sighting I want! :yay: LOVE Steven!

I've met tons of actors and directors through work, but the musicians are still out of reach. I think probably the one's I'd really like to meet won't be though Dis unfortunately. Wonder who I'll see this October??? ;) That would be too cool to see someone while on vacation when not expecting it!

LOL - if it's a sports person FH and I will be clueless. Neither one of us care at all about sports so we'd have no idea if we sat at the same table with one! LOL

I wonder how everyone reconizes all these celeb's.......I don't know if I would even notice a celeb if I bumped into one.

My husband talked with Roy Disney several years back at the MK. I didn't believe him but then I was talking to a CM who said uncle Roy indeed WAS in the area. :cool1:

This thread has come up several times over the years and it's always interesting to see who pops up!

I've seen Beyonce (and all of Destiny's Child before the first breakup), N'Sync, Enrique Iglesias, Grant Hill (basketball player), and I had drinks with Joe Namath at the Bellvue Lounge at BWI (not long before he harassed that poor reporter drunk :rotfl: ).

I also stayed (literally) next door to Kevin Bacon at the GF. We ran into him at the concierge buffet at 9am. We heard Kyra and the kids were there too but we never saw them. :confused3

We saw Celine Dion and her son in the GF RPC lounge in June. They were staying a few doors down in the Walt suite! Also, saw Melissa Joan Hart going up the elevator that same trip.

A few years back we seen Ron Howard and Tom Hanks they were directing a film or something there!

I ran into Mary Lou Retton (the Olympic champion) walking down a hallway at Coranado Springs. She was with her three daughters, and they were all so nice and polite. She stopped to talk to me without even asking; I was thrilled. She is very short, but since her husband is a basketball player, all of her daughters (the oldest was about 11, I think) were taller than her!

It was very cool. I have also seen the Osmonds and Lamar Burton while I was there. My mom saw Dr Phil there, too.

Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca (Survivor winners and a couple) outside Main St. Bakery this July...

We also rode down the elevator in the Contemporary with John Miller. He is the Assistant Director of Public Affairs for the FBI. Miller is a former ABC News reporter and anchor on 20/20. He conducted a famous May 1998 interview with Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan. :scared1:

We saw John Stamos just the other day at the Magic Kingdom. It was the afternoon of Oct the 8th- I think. We were walking on the pathway between the hub and Cosmic Ray's. He was off to the left where you can get your picture made with the castle behind. He was getting his picture made with Minnie dressed up like a nurse. That's my first celebrity sighting!!

I saw Joel Segal several years ago at a character breakfast in Animal Kingdom. He was standing at the buffet with his young son.

John Stamos is seemingly a regular at WDW. We saw him a few seasons back at EPCOT's UK, listening and then talking to members of the British Invasion. He told them (and us) that he was so excited because he got Paul McCartney to sign one of his Hoffner bass guitars.
